Feeling sorry for everyone at MK today...

What I learned last year was that Florida schools break for summer later than Georgia schools. So we left the Sunday before Memorial Day 2012 and we didn't experience that bad if waits. Felt like we got done very thing that we wanted. Because of my experience going to WDW in July as part of one of the Brazilian groups, July is out of question for me. August is too because schools in Georgia start in early August so that leaves the last week of May/first week of June to avoid crowds.

I went there hoping to do a few rides and get some food. The line up for Cosmic Rays was out the door at every bay and they were directing people that all tables were full but they could take their trays outside. people were sitting on the ground eating.

When I walked past IASW the wait time said 90 minutes. Peter Pan at that time said 110 minutes. POTC was 90 minutes. I left and went to DTD instead and got my shopping done.

EDIT: just wanted to note there was a CM outside IASW telling people the ride was running now so I think it may have been down but have no idea for how long.

I asked a CM what has made these crowds so huge and also not leave during a rainstorm. He said, " The draw of New Fantasyland, and the newness of Test Track 2.0". Tropical Storm Andrea just made everyone grin & bear it with ponchos and umbrellas. We sold out of them!". It's just crazy!

If you expect it, then I think it makes it better.;) Get to the parks early and leave before those afternoon rainstorms hit. Come back @ night.;) Use FPs!;)
I usually make lunch ADRs for like 1:45-ish (When lines are forever) then catch an afternoon show or parade before taking a break , then come back before the fireworks and stay to closing! MK's opening is a must do!
