Believe me, we eat anything. Kids included! One of the huge WDW turn ons is the ablility to help with allergy issues. On both occasions, what they gave my wife was just awful!! And that wasnt everything. Again, I know we are in the minority, but I have no desire to go back.
PS I am a huge breakfast fan!!!

I know what you mean, I literally feel sick to my stomach at the thought of eating at Crystal Palace. I'm sorry for your wife, she should have been treated like a "princess", especially with special needs, that' stinks, shame on you Kona!

Breakfast wouldn't be my first pick. I think their signature dishes are mostly too sweet, and I don't usually shy away from the sweet stuff. As for atmosphere? It's non existent. I've been in airport food courts with more ambiance. I do like dinner, though. The addition of the sushi menu is nice, and the sweetened pineapple bread with macadamia nut butter is lovely. Neither of those things is available at lunch, unfortunately.

We have been meaning to dine there. It is some peoples favorites - especially for breakfast. I would love to try it but it always gets bumped. The atmosphere, its kind of open to people walking by to and from the monorail and O'Hanas. So the atmosphere doesn't really appeal to me.

Atmosphere is OK.

The food is really good. Tonga Toast awesome.

The Lilikoi Juice (Orange, passion fruit and guava blend) is my favorite.

Kona Coffee is strong, like I like it!

We've been there for Breakfast and Dinner.

Breakfast was an A+. Lilikoi Juice is delicious. Tonga Toast is a cult classic (if you're a banana fan) but I think the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes really take the (pan) cake! They are absolutely delicious and I have dreams about them. It's like you take a normal delicious fluffy pancake and put crack on top. Yup. It's like that.

Dinner - our first time we LOVED it (both got teriyaki steak) and the bread there is probably made with similar crack used for pancakes as it's also soft and amazing AND accompanied with macadamia nut butter. SWOON. Our 2nd visit was just OK - not the best waitress plus it was towards the end of our trip and we just couldn't stomach a full dinner. It's definitely somewhere we'll visit for dinner again at some point.

Food- Nice, but nothing that warrants any high praise. I have never understood the mindset that establishes WDW as high dining, when they generally serve Ruby Tuesdays quality at The Ritz prices. I have eaten at some real dumps in my life, and many chain restaurants. I have also eaten at fairly renowned and high quality restaurants within major cities. WDW tourists often state that the food on property is "amazing", but the only amazing thing to me is the blinders used to judge these eateries. In any case, the food is nice and unjustly expensive.

Atmosphere- Very colorfully decorated. It is open to the lobby area, and people have a tendency to stare in at the food, which is not exactly conducive to comfortable dining. It can be loud as a result of the people walking by, and the general feel of this eatery leaves no doubt to the fact that you are eating in a place that is the basic equivalent of an upscale hotel cafeteria.

Service- Inattentive at times. Empty drink glasses while ingesting an unacceptably large portion of the meal, and the seeming inability to ask for anything beyond the placement of dishes on the table, all the while observing servers who seem to have to attend to the needs of too many tables at once. Very friendly servers, but seemingly overburdened.

Most will go to this place and call it Disney amazing, but I will not be going back. I think that twice for dinner was enough.

I love to grab sticky wings and pot stickers for lunch there when visiting the magic kingdom. Its a quick monorail ride and offers a nice break from the crowds.

Kona has become a regular stop for us during our trips. We really enjoy it. I always get the Samoan and try some of DS Tonga Toast. Like others are saying the coffee is really good.

BF is great and dinner is very good and hearty. Atmosphere is ok. You have the Great Room nearby but the place does not have an intimate feel to it. Food is very good. Tambu Lounge, a great bar is nearby for cocktails prior to a dinner.

Yeah, it was my hubby and DD who loved the Tonga Toast but I am not a banana fan. It was ME who got high on those pineapple macadamia nut pancakes!

Kona is a breakfast staple for us on our visits. The DW and I split the Big Kahuna and a Kona press and always leave happy and full! The lilikoi is pretty awesome too!

I haven't had breakfast there, but from what I've heard - it's amazing! I had dinner there 2 years ago and enjoyed it very much. I don't really remember what I had but I do remember liking it. They also had really creative desserts.
