Eeyore leaving Disney's Animal Kingdom and Adventurers Outpost opening early

Seems like a minor change to me?
It is probably the biggest change to meet and greets since DAK opened. A brand new meet and greet area (and indoors with AC!), and a whole bunch of character moves.

except that there is the loss of Eeyore. Another character gone from DAK...enough to make Eeyore even more depressed. Imagine when images appear of Eeyore in line at a soup kitchen. "Oh, bother..."

At Crystal Palace character dining or at EPCOT at one of the random meets at America or World Showplace. He may also meet at any of the Pooh locations if there is a scheduling issue like the Rabbit does today.
Or, Disneyland where they still rotate all 5 Pooh characters through Critter Country.
Are the Pooh characters no longer appearing at the hat at DHS in the AM?

No they got the axe a while back. Although the hat characters now go later in the day since Parade & DCR got cancelled. No Pooh though

I for one am disappointed. Eeyore is my favorite character! Now I'll have to eat at Crystal Palace every trip just to see him or travel during one of the hard ticket events at MK since he does meet at the parties. Boooooo!!

Very sad that Eeyore is leaving, he is one of our favorites (and we don't always have an ADR at the Crystal Palace).
They sure have cut a lot of characters from AK. I remember when you could meet Terk, Baloo, and Louie all on your way in. I miss Flik too. I don't know why they couldn't have added the Up characters somewhere else and kept Flik where he was!?!

Does anyone know if king Louie and Baloo are surviving this latest cut or are they history too? How about Chip & Dale?
Plus all the cuts to live entertainment like the village beatniks etc.
In the time that they cut all those characters they have added 3- Daisy, Russel and Dug

Sad about this- Discovery Landing was the last "normal" place to meet Eeyore- the only place to see him now is the Crystal Palace. Man, there used to be so many cool characters at AK. Now they're basically down to just the Fab Five and a few others.

Too bad George Kalogridis won't be able to meet and greet his favorite Disney character (Eeyore) in the AK anymore.
