Reservation glitches

Okay, so I have a strong feeling that there's something going on with the reservation system. I've been having restaurants such as Sci Fi diner coming up with no availability at 180 days other than like, 4:30pm. Clearly this restaurant is not that popular, and this isn't the only one that it's happened with. The first time it happened was two days in a row with Ohana, but I figured people just snagged those up with 180 + 10, but Sci Fi?

On second thought, I think something is going on with Ohana too. For three days in a row, the only time that's available is 9:15. Weird...

Call for reservations. I was able to reschedule one ADR with no problem but had to call for the other two. Good luck!

Exactly what happened to me. Everything came up with no availability. And that was at my 180 day mark at 6:00 am. Just best to call these days.

Oh, I know. That is what I was thinking as I was sitting there waiting for the phone lines to open so I could call with everyone else. So 10 years ago....LOL!

Add me to the list. The nightmare of 180 plus 10 reservations was mine to enjoy yesterday. Took forever to nudge my laptop into accepting the link for the OLD website where you can still do 180 plus 10 online at 6 am. But about half of my desired ressies said "not available" or WEREN'T even there to be clicked on. Called at 7 am and after 50 minutes on hold- and I was dialing through at 7 am on the dot- gave up and called back later in the day. What a nightmare!
Got everything I wanted except BOG. Did get one but not my desired day.
AND LISTEN up here, use the link provided by another member in another post on this site, to the old website. The new one does not allow the plus ten so you need to wait until 7 am and call, while everyone who can get into the old website is getting them at 6 am. I called IT at wdw the day before I needed ressies and they confirmed that you can't make them on new site, if it wasn't for the link here, I would have been out of luck

Call. The website is seriously lacking (and sometimes not even working correctly), unfortunately. It also does not allow you to do 180 +10.

I suppose I was fortunate. I called yesterday morning just before 7, and got the recording saying the office was not open. Ran to the fridge, got a drink, and called back. Was on hold for 2 or 3 minutes before I talked to a live person. I was very surprised and quite pleased.

The CM was able to get our reservations into the system quickly and worked quite efficiently. I was very happy, although would have been happier if the online system had been working properly!

This is either a nightmare for the CM's, or job security, depending on how you look at it. But for the rest of us, it is frustrating! By the way, if you want a note on your ressie that it is a special occasion, you have to call it in. No place to put it on the new system.

Omg the online system is so aggravating. I wasn't able to use it and its still not recognizing that we even have a reservation on property.

I am on a mobile device and not good at getting links in. But the title of the thread here with the link is 180+10 online success!!!!!!!!
it didn't work on my mobile Devices. Only regular pc/laptop
But it did work
But as their post recommended, I had to clear cookies and get rid of online history or it would go to the new one even when I went through this link

This is exactly why I won't waste my time with online reservations. I have never had a problem calling them in before, I can keep doing it without the aggravation and talk to an actual person and have it done properly the first time. It is much more pleasant experience when calling anyway, the CM's are always so nice.

have you called Disney directly to set up the reservations. I would definitely do that. Sounds like something fishy is going on w/the online system.

Well, I just called and according to the CM I spoke to, she sees the same thing that I see and they must actually be completely booked. Now, I know how the system works and it just doesn't make sense to me that restaurants (including Sci Fi) would be nearly completely booked at 7am on day 180! 'Ohana only had a 9:15 available and this happened at 7am on three days in a row. I just feel like something isn't right with this picture. But the CM is convinced that it was really booked. She actually told me to make the 9:15 ADR and an earlier Kona ADR as a backup, try to get in early, and if they don't let me in early, just go to Kona! So CMs apparently encourage ADR hoarding and maybe she's unaware that I'll be charged if I don't show up? Grr.

I agree....something does not sound right, especially when you are calling at 7am at your 180 days. I understand that the plus 10 people will take some of these reservations....but ALL?

I agree. In fact, she said that 100 people had already booked reservations for October 18th. Surely Ohana can hold more than 100 reservations in an entire night?!

Makes me wonder if reservation hoarding is more poplular than we thought.
