Biggest problem I have had with Dell is there they do something to screw up serial communications which has to be in their motherboard design. I know the serial port is not being used much these days, but Dell must have had a design patent on a non-communicable serial port. Buy a $20 USB to serial convertor and you can go back to work.
I just find the Dells to be slower than the HPs. That, and the touchpads on both of the HP laptops I've owned have been better on the HPs.

I have no idea. Whatever comes with the Apple stuff is what I use. I love not having to know, lol.

Is the symbol a little compass thing? If so, that's Safari. If it's a circle with red, green, yellow, and a blue dot, then it's Chrome.

For a while I used IE a lot and thought Chrome was overrated. But now, I use Chrome mainly because of the ad-blocker. It's so nice not to fret about watching ads on YouTube, especially when the "Skip Ad" button isn't available!

I dont do windows. Safari.
Can't you get Chrome on Macs? I know you can get it for iPad and iPhone and that there used to be Internet explorer and/or Firefox when we had the Macs at school (though I don't do IE). I'm a PC and Windows 8 was my idea.

Chrome, Firefox and Opera are available for OS X. Microsoft killed Internet Explorer for OS X almost ten years ago after Apple switched the default browser to Safari (that's right, for a time Internet Explorer was the default browser on Macs).

Ah, thanks. I'm a PC, so I didn't know. Man, those Macs at school were old, lol

I remember one of my schools back around 2001 proudly announcing that they just received "new" computers that featured the "lastest" in software, Windows 95.
Well, it was back in 2007 when we had the Macs, but still.

Windows 95? Now that's funny, especially considering in 2001 we had moved on to Windows ME (horrible OS BTW)
