Good Morning People. Just a quick question on the safes at Disney resorts.Does all resorts, value, mod,& deluxe, have them fitted in their rooms. And are they all the same size?. One more question, how safe are they.? I read a while ago that someone's safe was opened and stuff was stolen when they returned from the parks. Our suitcases have combination locks and we tend to put our souvenirs in them, but put our passports, jewellery, cash in the small wall safe.Your opinions please.;)

We don't use the safe, we just leave our items in the room. We also don't bring much that I think anyone would want to take. I keep the cash in my wallet along with the credit cards, cameras go with us to the parks, or wherever we go. My wife and daughter aren't really jewelry girls, so that's not an issue. I travel a lot, leave my laptop in the room when I'm gone and never had an issue, yet. I guess I'm more concerned about losing the key to the safe, than someone taking something.

Translate ... Correctomundo = correct (or Aye in scottish :D... or yuuuuuuuuuuuup in storage wars )

Not much longer....Dave was fired from the show.... if you watch some of the newer episodes, you can feel the animosity radiate off the screen between the rest of the players and Dave Hester....

I am slowly getting addicted to A&E....I love the original Storage Wars and now Duck Dynasty.

@real mad hatter, the safe CAN NOT be used to protect the bottles of alcohol. Maybe the small airline size bottles, but I tried to put my bottles of chardonnay in there for safe keeping, and they don't fit. Had to rely on my friends not drinking without me.

On a related note, after I do lock the safe, I hide the key in the room so I don't have to worry about losing it. (The key I mean...) [Years and years ago when Disney actually had room keys, I DID lose the key on BTMRR.... luckily I realized it quickly and it was still on the seat of the car when it came back around the next trip. If I remember correctly it would have been a $75 charge if I lost it...and that was a chunk of change to me then.]

The AoA has the new large safes. There is no key. You put in your own code which makes them safer.
The ones at POR are tiny. I could barely get my cameras in it.

Noooooo to that Dave was fired, or that I am addicted to A&E? My friends think that my new addiction is better than my previous one of Hallmark channel and reruns of the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. [By the way, did you ever notice that just about every other episode someone dies on LHoP?? Until I watched multiple episodes in a day I never recalled how many people are buried beneath the sod in Walnut Grove. Must have been one heck of a big cemetery.]

We have stayed at types of resorts in wdw, and the safes are the same, with a passcode you type in. we use it for our ID's, credit cards, and laptops. The only way to get in is via your passcode, or by a manager if your dumb enough not to remember your passcode, just know this from a friend who was dumb enough not to remember.

Sorry, but the safes are not the same; not even close. Most mods and older values have tiny little safes with keys.
AoA has large safes where you put in your own code. CBR, PORS, POFQ all have the tiny safes.
