In Tower of Terror who's that girl when your dropping

I think it's like the second or third drop. But I always see a girl or a woman on the right side. Is there a story behind her. Or was she just place there to scare us?

Yeah I've seen figures appear as you fall on videos but never when I am on the ride myself Much like the Yeti, have ridden Everest many times and have yet to see him lol
