I wasn't aware they had them before but I love the idea of seeing live footage. That's like a trip report times 10. (sorry, i happen to like trip reports)

Every once and a while there are fans who will put them out the window of their resort and I think there was one on top of the swan or dolphin at one point...I would tune in all day long but sadly the aforementioned nefarious terrorism BS got them taken down

I would be ecstatic to be able to log onto a webcam when I was feeling kinda blue and needed a Disney pick me up. I could check out to see how long the line is at Aloha Isle....tune in to see the parade....and maybe at night watch Fantasmic/Illuminations/Wishes.

Not sure if you are aware of this but there is a site that members will stream live from their hotel rooms & parks during their vacations. The site is called EyesOnEars. In order to see the live cam's you MUST sign up with an account first. If you have an account, make sure you are logged in to access the Live Cam Page. Hope to see ya there

That is one reason frequently mentioned and another is that they didn't want to give their competitors a direct view in to see how busy they were.
Every now and then Weatherbug has a live cam on the Contemporary but its not always there. There is also Aerophile's balloon cam at DTD.

The crazy rumors and silly conjecture displayed on this thread is killing me. The real reason that there are no webcams at WDW lies in the fact that the Chinese government kept pirating the feed and replacing it with film footage of a park called "Mao's Fun-Filled Slave Labor Camp". Now that I've dispelled these false guesses, can we just get back to the Yeti talk?

I go on that one a lot...There's one that's always on and that's the Blue Harbor resort cam. Has a great shot of DTD and Epcot and they play the Illuminations music at the exact time so you know when it happens..Plus it's constantly playing park music whilst you watch..

Also, Eyesonears usually has one or two up. We've actually streamed ourselves from BLT a few times while staying there on Eyesonears. The Weatherbug cam that was up on the Contemporary was only up for a few months and then disappeared.
