What's better at Disneyland than WDW (or vice versa)?

At least neither IASW is this...

This is funny. I never got the whole "creepiness" of dolls or marionettes, or any inanimate object that represents a person or a child. I just don't get it. What I do see is how hilariously bad this is. I couldn't stop laughing. With the way things have been run at WDW now for the past couple years, this could very well be how the real IASW looks in about 20 years.

OMG what the hell was that!? That was really creepy!!

But anyways, back on topic. WDW has a better ToT-the one in DL takes forever to board the elevator and no 5th dimension, it's queue is garbage and it doesn't look as nice on the end of the street like it does in mgm. A better splash mt. the one in DL you move too quickly by the millions of AAs they have which kinda defeats the purpose of having that many AAs. And the story ends up being a bit jumbled. But DL's splash is definitely cleaner and maintained better. Small world I'd say is better in DL overall with it's impressive facade and what not, however I think the inside looks a bit better in WDW. The canals in DL look a bit weird to me, and a lot of scenes the last one in particular, everything is oddly high up which makes it a bit weird too. But I'd still say it's better in DL overall. Space mt way better in WDW. It's actually a thrilling coaster which is what it should be as opposed to being a special effects 'show' with lights and music that offers no real thrill other then that. And of course Pirates is better in DL. DL has a lot of stuff that WDW doesn't and quite a few of it's rides are better then they are at WDW.

What I do find interesting is that the queue looks nearly identical to how Florida's look pre-2004. And I do admit they a great job with the scenery and backgrounds. I guess they just didn't wanna fork over the money for animatronics and just used dolls. It sucks and it's boring. The knock off version of the Sherman Brother's song sucks too.

Speak for yourself. The music adds to the attraction and the thrill, for a lot of people, including me. Riding to the synchronized music and lights is the best part of the attraction, for me.

Yes well obviously I'm going to speak for myself because who else would I speak for?o_O But ya, nice music, nice lights, boring as hell coaster. *Yawns*

Space Mountain in MK does have two tracks, unlike DL which is kinda cool. Although do to the nature of the ride, it's tough to tell the difference between the tracks unless you ride it a ton of times. But DL's Space Mtn is much better in how the ride runs and how the lights/music compliment it; I think MK's could equal or surpass it, at least in theory, with a quality refurb.

To my knowledge there is absolutely no difference to the tracks except that they are mirrored. I rode Space mountain like twenty times in a row during the Halloween party one year.

Two of the ones that people have commented on as being better at DLR are the Tiki Room and Soarin'. Can anyone elaborate? They seemed remarkably similar between coasts to me.

The Tiki Room at Magic Kingdom has the "Let's all sing like the birdies sing" sing along part cut. They also cut a part out of the Hawaiian war chant. Also, no enchanted fountain. Neither the Disneyland or MK show is the original 17 min show. They have been severely altered, though, Disneyland kept more parts of the show intact. As for Soarin', they're the same. But the queue at DCA is way better.

Found an OLD video back when The Tiki Room at MK was still called Tropical Serenade. Has rare footage of the cut Offenbach number and the intro to Let's All Sing Like The Birdies Sing. Wow, beautiful. Can't believe they cut these parts. Wait, no. Actually I can.

Better at DL/DCA:
Pirates (duh)
Space Mountain (if only MK's was smoother with onboard audio…)
Buzz (only for the removable guns)
Tiki Room
Soarin' (better queue at Epcot, but better film quality here)
Fantasmic!
Autopia

Everything else is better in FL. Splash, even in terrible shape, is miles better than DL's. Thunder is longer and more fun. Mansion has better audio and the library scene. Star Tours has two more simulators so the wait isn't as bad. I don't even need to explain Tower. Dumbo looks fantastic. "it's a small world" is the toss-up for me - DL's facade is incredible, but I like the water-filled rooms at MK more, and I also enjoy the holiday overlay and the character additions (except for in the America scene) at DL, so… *shrug*

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
I went to disneyland for the first time.. here's my list..

DL better: tiki room, pirates, space mountain (road ghost mountain), all dark rides that WDW doesnt have, ect.
WDW better: .............hah.

I've heard the film in Soarin' at Epcot has lots of specs and dust bunnies on it. Soarin' Over California at DCA has a themed area around it to aviation and flight. I've heard people say it's more interesting to experience the attraction in California... I don't really know what to say about that.

In regards to the Tiki Room, the original hasn't really changed much and you can eat a Dole Whip inside. That's a big plus. "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" is the best part.
