Could Lights Motors Action plussed into a James Bond Show?

It couldn't. Bond has guns, violence and murder. Loads of it. In the MGM Studios which featured guns, murder, fire and Alien all in one ride, a violent Indiana Jones stunt show (which I'm convinced haven't been changed or toned down because they're just too cheap and lazy), a creepy drop ride based on the Twilight Zone and even an Aerosmith ride, that stuff could obviously be featured. More likely we'd see it replaced with kiddie Cars crap. Disney doesn't open anything remotely adult anymore. Bond would never work for them.

Honestly? It's an irritating, incredibly loud, smelly, gas-guzzling attraction. Though I have no love for CARSLAND, it would still be better. Bond also doesn't exactly fit in with Disney's family-friendly vibe, either. I'm not thinking "Pussy Galore" and Mickey Mouse could ever share the same neighborhood. :p

Well, except, as I mentioned, MGM Studios has Alien, gangster and western shootouts with murder and bars, Indiana Jones stunt show with punching, murder and Nazis and an Aerosmith ride. Bond would have fit in at some point, but I don't see them ever opening more adult attractions ever again.

Why do you and others find it necessary to bash management, question the theme of the parks, over analyze Disney’s decisions related to WDW.

You remind me of the over bearing mother that insists on scheduling every minute of the WDW vacation down to bathroom breaks.

Go have fun enjoy laugh smile it’s VACATION after all! It's a magical place no matter what you say!

No need to make it more than what it is

Maybe you should get a job at Disney then you can fix all the “world’s” problems.

And yes my glass is always half full!!

Suggested reading for you:

“Don’t sweet the small stuff its all small stuff”

“How to make friends an influence people”

This is perhaps the most unfair and inaccurate response that I have received for a post in quite some time. I posted regarding a simple critique of the overall theme and purpose of DHS, and I am unjustly compared to an "overbearing mother". If I were to label you as some lonely loser who has nothing better to do but criticize others for sharing an opinion, would I be seen as a fair and rational individual? I think not. I would suggest that you take the time to know the members of this forum a little better before you begin flaming them with your unjust tripe. Check my post history, and you will find that I am the type of person who will be having more fun than you can imagine in just five days as I visit WDW and enjoy every minute of it without utilizing your rose colored glasses. Oh, and when you finish reading this post and come to the realization that I consider you to be a simple minded reactionary, "don't sweat the small stuff".

An Aerosmith ride where Steven Tyler flashes the shocker hand gesture during the preshow...

And not to mention the fact that LMA takes a lot of visual cues from the movie Ronin.

As someone whose family finally saw LMA for the first time two weeks ago after many Disney trips, I can honestly say that we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was informative, exciting, funny and fun. It is light-hearted and family-friendly, which James Bond movies nowadays definitely are not. I'd be happy for it to become part of a Carsland area though.

How soon we forget our history --- Lights Motors Action is a clone of and was originally created in Disney Studios Paris as a headliner attraction of James Bond stunts -- "Moteurs...Action!" could not get licensing in place and they tried for two years to secure those rights...Could LMA be turned into a Bond attraction?? Absolutely, it was already PLANNED to be a Bond attraction. Will it happen, no it will not.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

Maybe I deserve that response from you. I come here looking for constructive, realistic reviews of attractions and dinning experiences. I don't look for over analytical critiques of them. To me it takes the fun out of the pre-visit preparation. I agree that we get less bang for our buck these days at wdw. In fact we get less bang for the buck in our everyday life. The Disney Co. is in show business. I choose to enjoy the show for what it is and respect the fact that Disney is in the business of making money. I see no need to question their business decisions.

So I'll be a simple minded reactionary (I do go into a simple minded mode of sorts when I'm on vacation). I respect the fact you take this seriously. Think about what you post some of it comes across as complaining.
If you are trying to show your love the place maybe you should take another approach. Your current approach might not be understood in a way you intended it.

I come here just as a prevacation planning tool.

I love the place too. We just have very different ways of showing it.

I would again encourage you to read my post history. I realize that there are several members here who "complain" often, but I am not one of them. I made one comment as a topical observation, and you came just shy of psychoanalyzing me and my vacation habits. I believe that you chose the wrong individual for this battle. While I can certainly see the slow degradation of quality at WDW Parks, I am far from being someone who attends the parks in order to notice the faults. I am also not someone who comes to this forum with an agenda to rally others toward big changes at WDW. I go there to spend fairly clean-cut time with my wife and daughter. I go there to laugh and enjoy. When you say "think about what you post", I'm left wondering why it is that you chose me and my one post as your source of criticism and attack. I am not who you seem to label me as being.

As to your list of WDW trips, I have been to WDW somewhere in the area of 350 days over the past 22+ years. This would include 15 day, 3-4 days, and single day trips. I am very much someone who enjoys the "World". Your inequitable attack against me is not appreciated, but I realize that anything can be said over the internet, and I wish you well in your vacation planning nonetheless.

Wow. A member for five days, barging in here slagging off a well-respected member who's been here half a decade.

And he needs to think about what he posts?
He comes across as complaining?

Pfft.

He could just be a Yankees fan;)

DVC4bestvacations, you also need to realize that some of us aren't tourists. We realize that the themed entertainment industry is a multibillion dollar industry and are more intersted in discussing the pros and cons of their business decisions than we are about where to find the most super duper "magically" delicious cup cakes in the "World".

Given his relentless efforts to label me as someone who attacks Disney on this forum, I would say that he goes beyond being a Yankees fan. I would venture to guess that his last name is Steinbrenner.

Given that the username is DVC4bestvacations, I'd wager that he or she is a Disney employee/DVC sales rep.
