Pictures of the new overflow seating added to Fantasmic! have been added to ThemeParkOverload this week. As you can see from the pictures, not only is there nothing special about these seats… but they failed to properly elevate them at all, and the view from them is so horrid you still have to stand to even see the stage over the heads of the people in the back row of the normal stadium seats. Kind of makes you wonder why they bothered at all to even install these if they were not going to “do it right” and elevate them at least a little bit to make them functional. Money=Wasted...

I mean, Disney adding benches, not so much the photos...

Oh it most certainly isn't a joke. Disney, in fact, threw a big 'ol press conference JUST for these benches. Meanwhile Universal is full steam ahead on Potter 2.0, Transformers, and Springfield.

You just enjoy those dandy benches dearie. I personally think they're a fantastic addition so that I can grab that scrumptious last minute turkey leg and still be able to sit down and enjoy the cutting edge tech and magic of Fantasmic!

I guess that means that Fantasmic is like opera - there are a number of opera houses here in Germany that sell "listener seats". I guess those benches are the modern version of these...
