NextGen FASTPASS testing expands to Disney's Hollywood Studios next

See, with FP+ the problem is going to be just like ADR's where if there is high demand you just won't be able to get them, period. This way, instead of having to deal with in-park tantrums, you can have tantrums in the comfort of your own home 180 days out.

Not if they only offer them to Deluxe resort guests ;).

Oh absolutely. It just amazes me that a room full of execs can't see how the experience plays out for the average guest.

That is easy they never go in the parks, on their days off. Always go in to check a project then leave or to go to their desk and leave at the end of the day.

I can only imagine how horrible this is going to be for TSMM, I'm really not digging this FP+ thing, I already plan out too many of my details for each trip, this is just going to make it worse and more stressful.

If they go down that or the pay-for-FP route it creates an even worse scenario. Say you are staying at a moderate, pay the upcharge for FP+, then log in and see because everyone else and their mother already asked for TSMM FP's, that none are left? And if they do away with FP- altogether? Then you get to know months in advance that the only way you will get to ride fav. attraction X is if you wait 2 hours for it? When, for the past 10 years you have only had to wait 20 minutes at most?

There are way too many permutations of negative outcomes of this for me to be excited about it right now. Granted we know next to nothing and there will be workarounds but it isn't very promising IMO.

Well we knew this from the beginning...destroying spontaneity one trip at a time! But hey look at this mounted of data of guests not spending in the parks ...

I've said it 100 times and I'll say it 100 more. This has the potential to be the single most damaging decision that Disney has made since the park's opened.

Having said that, I'll be interested to see what the attraction groupings will be for DHS.

Is there going to be FP, FP+ AND Standby, or will FP+ eventually be known as FP, with FP as we know it being phased out?

I agree.

I do, however, see potential in it. (Not FP+ but NextGen).

If attractions/shows/parades can interact with specific guests due to the info stored on the RFID cards, it could bring attractions to a whole new level.
