Johnny Depp at the parks?

I've heard a couple times that the REAL Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp has occasionally been in the parades/at the park as Jack Sparrow. I have no idea how valid/true that is though.....are there any times that the real one would have been in the parks? (like maybe release or movie premiere dates?)

I've heard from someone who should have legitimate knowledge of such things (i.e. not a "bus driver" rumor) that on one of the first test runs of the Pirates show in MK, (before it officially was on the entertainment schedule) that Johnny Depp did in fact do the role himself.

I wasn't there personally, however, so I'm merely telling what I heard.

I don't know about WDW but when Johnny Depp comes to DL, he comes through the backstage area For him to come in costume would be total chaos, so I highly doubt that's true. If you want to catch Depp at DL, your best bet is to attend the next Pirates premiere. He did make a pop up appearance at the first D23 Expo.

Im not usually one of those "star struck" girls, but I think when it comes to Johnny Depp Id be a bumbling idiot...lol He's the one "celebrity" I've crushed on since I was around 8...haha

And maybe Thor and Loki...but only as Thor and Loki...not Chris or Tom...ROFL

I will always and forever love Johnny Depp. He is the most good looking man in Hollywood right now. A beautiful man, and that goes for Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth too (Loki and Thor)!

Unfortunately, I've seen Cry Baby. I say u fortunately because the French kissing scene made me very jealous and very upset. I was fine with the movie until that scene. The actress playing the main character was extremely lucky to do that scene! I can no longer watch that movie, because of that one scene.

My friend claims she briefly saw him at WDW back when she was interning there in the fall of 2008. I didn't get a lot of details, just that he was being escorted through the Utilidors by a few Disney suits.

I don't think there were any promotional things going on at the time (AWE hit theaters in 2007, and they didn't announce OST until 2009), so its possible that he was just being taken in VIP style away from the crowds.

I've also been told by creditable people that for part of a day Depp was sitting in the final scene with all the tresure of POTC back when Jack Sparrow was first added to the ride.

To my knowledge he HAS come to the park as a guest and done a set dressed as Jack Sparrow. There is no announcement that it is him and because of the "show" of Disney no one seems to question it, they think he's just a really good Johnny depp character double.

Oh my word. I was doing a night shift at Disneyland one night during a Halloween party. I was working the Carousel in Fantasyland and a man got on with his two kids. I can't tell you what his kids were wearing but the daddy had the Captain Jack Sparrow costume. Not only was his costume perfect, but he looked EXACTLY like Johnny Depp. I could not keep my eyes off of him. I was supposed to be watching everyone on the Carousel but I couldn't help myself. Oh man.

We heard that too, from a CM at our resort last week just before we went to the party. I looked at every Jack Sparrow too! Sad to.say I never saw him.:-(

I highly doubt that it is true to be honest. I'm sure he is way too busy filming or preparing for roles and other appearances than to appear unscheduled at a theme park. I'm sure he would want to be paid for his time too.
