is there any way to get you KTTW cards in the mail?

Hi all,

I have a friend who is going to WDW for 2 days, 1 night at the end of october. They are hoping to head right to MK and then at nap time, head to the resort to check in. HOwever, she booked a MYWP. From what I understand, those tickets are not mailed to you, but on your KTTW card. Can she get the tixs mailed to her? Or does she have to check in first?

Thanks!

I'm 99% sure you have to go to your resort and check in. Additionally if they didn't do that they would also have to pay to park. If the room isn't ready they can still get their KttW.

she has to check in first because everything is on the kttw card
That's one reason, before we started getting annual passes, we always booked our room and tickets separately.
With an annual pass or separate ticket you can go straight to the park. You would still have to pay to park if you don't have the annual pass.

I know of no other way to get your tickets at WDW when you book a package then to check in at your resort.

Actually, I've read of instances here on WDWMagic, as well as the ticketing FAQ (written by a Guest Relations CM) on another forum that you can receive the park tickets from your WDW Package reservation at the parks. (In fact, it says you can get them a few days before your package start date if you wanted) Though I have no first-hand experience.

To do so, you have to go to the Guest Services window at the park. They will call the resort, confirm the reservation, and then issue you paper tickets. I don't know if the tickets can then be re-encoded onto your room keys, though I presume they could (though for the OP's 2 days/1 night situation, it's probably not worth the bother of getting them put back onto the room keys)

EDIT:
Here you go. Item "I" on this post (toward the bottom):

They cannot. I have asked. I stay for 14 days, and always have to buy 4 days of regular tickets for each trip (I go to MK on the first day right after check in, and the last day after check-out). I have done both the mail delivery of tickets and the Will Call pickup option. I prefer the latter (one less thing to have to remember to pack!).

But even then you can't have it mailed to you. I am a passholder too and I can buy it online and all you get is a voucher to redeem at the ticket window of one of the parks.

As they say in that post guest services is told not to do this. It can still be technically done but you typically need a well experienced CM at the ticket booth and some sort of extenuating circumstance. I have had clients try this on several occasions and all have reported it as a no go when they did.
