Aren't the Sea Raycer's faster at the Grand Floridian?

They're generally faster at the Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon marinas than they are at the Village Lake/Sassagoula River marinas because of the more-open water.

This is what had appealed to me, the Village Lake/Sassagoula River ones seem slower. Most of the time there you're on fairly narrow routes so it doesn't seem too bad however in front of Down Town Disney on the lake you realise they're fairly slow!

The Seven Seas Lagoon ones have always looked far 'zippier' from the ferry when we've been crossing and this appealed to me big time. I've convinced Mrs Mergatroid they're no faster and just look so as they're on a bigger lake (there's no logic to that but it seemed to bamboozle her brain and do the trick) as she complains when we hit full speed on the others .

Our engine stopped on the lake in front of DTD the other year and we had to signal for the 'marine security' (is that what they're called, they're not coast guards are they?) to come to assist us. Took them about 5 minutes to get us going again and we only had about half speed when they did. We only had about 15 minutes left of our 60 when this happened and limped back in but had been told to mention it. The staff were really apologetic and we were given some paperwork crediting us another 45 minute trip for anytime we wanted, was really impressed with that and hadn't expected it.

Yes, I have. Marine security has gas with them to get you going again.

Just a FYI, the boats in the lagoon go faster then the ones that don't have access to the lagoon. Ex. Caribbean Resort.

Does anyone know if the boats at the Coronado are the fast ones or slow ones?
