Double points question.

Okay, I know this may sound incredibly duh but if you are on the QS free dining plan, how do you know which restaurant will "charge" you for 2 meals for one person. Does that make sense? I understand that a character meal is probably one of the meals that would do this but how do you find out? Is there some kind of list or something? I am kind of new to the dining plan and don't want to use up my meals too quickly by making ADRs at places that take 2 meals off if it is only one person. Thanks for the help in advance.

If you're on the quick service plan, you'll be charged one credit for each of your quick service meals. Any table service meals will need to be paid out-of-pocket regardless. If you mean the regular dining plan, the places that charge two credits are the "signature" restaurants and the dinner shows. Most of the character meals are only one table service credit.

The QS dining plan points are not eligible for any 2 point meals. The 2 point meals are signature restaurants which only take TS points and money.

In fact, the QS points are not eligible for any restaurant that uses ADRs.

I definitely think you should take a look at the WDW website and familiarize yourself with the quick service dining plan. Here is the link....

With the QS dining plan you don't get sit down table service meals. Like the previous poster mentioned....QS points are not eligible for anything you would make an ADR for. Anything you are making an ADR for you will be paying for it out of pocket...

Oh, silly me - I meant on the regular free dining plan that includes sit-down meals. That just shows you I need enlightenment about it. I know about the above-stated link. I just wondered if there was a specific list where the 2-credit restaurants would be listed specifically other than this. Thanks for the input. I guess I will have to do more research and familiarize myself a little better.

Each of the brochures for the respective dining plans tells you which meals are covered, and which ones would require 2 credits. Check the brochure for the plan you have.
