I actually enjoy the food from La Cantina De San Angel more than I do the San Ángel Inn. Not as good as the burritos from the Tortuga Tavern, but still a pretty solid QS option.

Yes, we've sat there for Illuminations, its actually a pretty good viewing spot. We've gotten there a couple hours before at times.
We also like getting the churros there. =)

I ate here for the first time in April and was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I both had the enchiladas which were delicious. The portions aren't very big though so I wouldn't go in there famished. lol

I wondered the same thing. Its so hard for me to pass up Sunshine Seasons or the QS in Germany that I don't really think about La Cantina. That and I'm usually so full of margaritas that I would hate to ruin my buzz.

DH and I ate there last year and it was delicious! I had the cheese empanadas with green sauce and DH had the taco's. Both were served with chips and curro's. Both were really good. Mine was so good that it's now a must do for our trip in October! :) I will agree that the portion size isn't huge compared to other QS but it was still worth it.

This is one of the better counter service style places imho. They changed it up from before, which was decent, just less food is served in a styrofoam box lol. The nachos and beef tacos are pretty fabulous. They also have a salsa bar with four different types of salsa with varying levels of spice. Plus Dos on draft and churros...es muy bien!

If you have any room for dessert, skippin the churro, either hold out for school bread in Norway or a pastry at the Boulangerie Patassie ;)

What's the quick service in Germany?

We are with you though and love going to Sunshine Season as often as possible. Hard to not go there!

The QS in Germany is called Sommerfest and it has brats, frankfurters, sauerkraut, desserts, wines, beers and shots. They have an excellent apple strudel with vanilla sauce. Its the outside seating you see near the German buffet, Biergarten.

Oh nice. I don't know how I missed that! I shall be adding the apple strudel to my "must do foods" list when we go in a couple of months!:D

We really enjoyed it here, and have tried most things on the menu. Also, it is a lovely place to sit and recharge the batteries.

I do think World Showcase has some pretty decent CS restaurants, the only one I didn't enjoy was Norway (dry bread but fab pastries), I haven't tried Germany or Italy.

I think the food is fine. I Luke the empanadas at times and my wife likes the tacos de carne. The frozen margaritas are good too. For the same price though you can eat at LA hacienda and have the queso fundido and taco sampler which is better.

I totally agree Jess! Hello from a fellow Kentuckian! :D We ate there in 2010 and it was one of my favorite QS meals of the trip. I had the cheese empanadas also and loved them. My husband had the chicken tacos and found them to be a little dry, but we loved the fresh chips and pico de gallo.

Not sure if you can still do this, but when we were there you could go inside to eat at lunch. Not many people were aware of this and we had the entire restaurant almost to ourselves. In addition, the inside wait staff brought us anything we needed and picked up our desserts for us after we finished our lunch. Nice view of the WS lagoon and air conditioning!
