What Makes Your Favourite Resort So Special To You.

We all have our favourite resorts,but what one thing makes it so special that brings you back.We have only been to three resorts,all mods,but we love PORS and the one thing that makes it so special to us is the complete serenity about the whole resort.Standing on a bridge overlooking the sassagoula river at 6.30 in the morning is breathtaking.So my question is " what makes your resort so special? "just one thing.:)

My fave (so far) is def OKW!

And for the same reasons as yourself, so peaceful and relaxing, edpecislly after trips to the all stars and Pop

My favorite Mod is POR. We have been staying there since it was Dixie Landings. We love staying in the Mansion Seciton overlooking the Sassagoula River! Most of my childhood memories of WDW started by staying on this property.

The Boardwalk is another favorite. We love the Cottage Suites, quite and tranquil. All we have to do is walk thru the building and get all the action of the Boardwalk. The service in Inkeepers Lounge is amazing!! New memories as adult families are being made here.

Both properties have this peacefulness about them. I totally enjoy practicing at waters edge at both of these resorts early in the morning. What a way to start a day!:D

My favorite 2 are Poly and YC

Poly because I have been staying there since I was 5 (not as often as I would like, but still we go way back) so there is the nostalgia factor there and i just love the ambiance

YC is more recent. We stayed here in April and I fell in love. The smell of the lobby was amazing, the location is great, DD loved the movies on the beach, and it less busy than BC

Sue, our very first trip to Disney was when my son was 3, and we stayed at Dixie Landings, Magnolia Bend. We haven't been back there since, so this year he asked if we could do a nostalgic trip to the French Quarter, (he's now 23) and get beignets from Sassagoula!!

That is so awesome! Amazing what we remember! How good does it make you feel knowing you have created all these magical moments with your son?!?

My favorite so far is Wilderness Lodge. It felt so cozy and I truly felt like they were welcoming us home. Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond. The trails were so beautiful. The boat felt so private. And I went home with a bunch of towel creatures! :) It also could have had something to do with the Christmas decorations...

I am definitely the WDW fan in my family so, to find a resort that my husband is absolutely over the moon about and looks forward to returning to every year, automatically becomes my favorite resort too. From the moment you turn onto the road taking you to the WL, you are in a different place, even different than all of WDW itself. We were sold fromthe first time we walked into the lobby, heard the music and felt the calmness of the resort. And the great thing is, we feel the same way every time we return, day after day and year after year.

Favorite by far, and thus far is Wilderness Lodge-followed by AKL-but what makes Wilderness so special to me? Really I can't describe the feeling I get when I walk through those sliding doors. There is a sense of I belong here feeling that I get and love so much. Its the way it is so warm and welcoming and just soo...inviting. I love the fireplace. I love the moments of calm where I can grab my book and just find that quiet cozy corner and read. It was the first 'upscale' hotel that my husband and I checked out, and it was the resort that made him want to come back...and ultimately made him fall in love with Disney...
