Brave could settle in at Adventureland instead of Fantasyland?

Stumbled up a rumor that either or both coasts might consider integrating future Brave characters (maybe attraction) into Adventureland instead of the typical Fantasyland.

It would be good to see other lands besides Fantasyland and Tomorrowland get some more modern Disney movie references.

personally i think she fits in better in world showcase at epcot or somewhere in the new fantasyland area over adventure land as it is now (in FL can't speak to Ca) but i'm sure like anything else how well the movie and all the other brave marketed stuff does will determine merida's fate as much as anything.

i think that if anywhere adventure land would be the fit...i think that this would fit adventure land much better that fantasy land, she isnt the "fantasyland" type if you know what i mean, and as to WS im not a big fan since Scottland isnt a country there.

Brave was another Pixar masterpiece so the idea of more presence of that film in the parks would be a welcome one. Although, I recall during a press junket of some sort John Lasseter was asked during the height of Tangled's popularity about seeing more of a presence of the film in the parks aside from the meet and greets and he stated nothing was planned as of now. Personally, Tangled was one of the best Disney animated films in the past decade for me so it would be a delight to see the film more represented in the form of attractions. That said, I like the stance that Lasseter took where they weren't trying to rush a good thing. I think it's wise to have a film simmer for a few years to really allow the timelessness of it to sink in. I think Tangled will certainly make the cut to see attractions of some sort created from it in the near future, the same goes for Brave. Would I love to see attractions or shows based on these films? Without a doubt! I just don't think they need to be rushed in order to capitalize on the strong box-office numbers and great word of mouth the films have generated. In time, I think people's everlasting love for these films will do most of the work and we'll see something developed.

In regards to seeing Brave characters/attractions in Adventureland, not a bad idea but personally if there's one Disney film/character that is dying for a true presence in Adventureland it would have to be Tarzan. There could be a lot of potential for a really great ride system based on that film. I can easily understand how Merida's personality would fit more in with Adventureland but I recall reading from press junkets and interviews with the creative team behind the film that she is actually being welcomed as a true Disney Princess so that's why I'm slightly more inclined to see Brave pop up in Fantasyland if anything.

i agree i think tarzan would be awesome in adventure land, you could make a ride as if you were him surfing down the trees like he does alot in the movie...but i still am not a fan of brave in fantasy land, to me she just doesnt go with belle, snow white or arriel.

If anything, Disney has done a very poor job of integrating movie releases with park presence. The Little Mermaid is nearly a quarter century old and it is finally getting a ride? Disney Seas has Ariel with her own land.

Imagine opening an attraction THE SAME DAY that a movie is released on DVD. No kid can watch the movie without first seeing a preview for the new ride opening on both coasts.

Now, the upcoming Day of the Dead movie may not be the best idea for this since real estate in Mexico is slim, but a little planning and the parks could be much more interesting to the common American family.

I would just like to see Muppet Mobile Labs make a return.

Very interesting side note. Something that could come together in 12-18 months too.

Scottish princess in a south seas setting.

Sure, why not. It's not like Disney cares about the land's setting as is. Next why don't we put Avatar in Adventureland as well! I mean, it's got a jungle in it!
if adventureland is strictly jungle then why are aladins caprest there? no jungle in aladin...POTC doesnt reallly fit with jungle...any kind of adventure themed movie belongs in adventureland

Aladdin shouldn't be there. It destroyed the land's cohesiveness. And no, not all kinds of adventure movies belong in AL. If you think Brave belongs there, you're nuts.

And Pirates is basically is in it's own land separate from what was supposed to be the south seas section.

Brave does not belong in Adventureland. Period.

So you wouldn't approve of The Snow Queen being there either?

im not saying that it belongs there but the question was either AL or FL and AL is the better fit in my opinion.
