Hi all,

Has anyone gone here? What do you think? My DH and I have been in this resort once over the Christmas holiday to check out the resort decorations. But we have not stayed here or explored the facilities. What is the spa like? Also, does anyone know where I can find the pricing for the services?

Thank you!

Thanks! :sohappy:

So Boardwalk and Yacht Club, to name a couple, have a "massage and fitness" center, so I am assuming its a spa "light" experience since they don't have a full spa that include facials, mani, pedi, etc. Has anyone had a massage at either of these places? Is it just an extension of the fitness center or is it a little spa?

Hey, i'm kind of bumping this one up. I have searched for this info and found on another site a possible answer. The couple's package is just two items - the aromatherapy massage and then some hydro therapy for roughly $400 + Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? It just sounds like a massage and then time in a hot tub - not exactly worth the amount of money. The DH and I are trying to find a special experience for our next trip and have narrowed it down to 3 possible tours or a spa experience. We are going to pick one but was hoping to find more spa info.

I have been in the SSR spa, back when the locker rooms were open to guests (they no longer are, they built seperate lockers / showers for the pool now)

I can say the men's locker room was very nice. Hot tub, sauna, complimentary fruit, iced tea, water, robes, slippers, towels, soap, toothpaste, razors, etc.

My fiancee had a mani/pedi done there recently (last F&W) and said it was no big deal. The facility was very nice, but the service was nothing special and not worth the money.

Thank you so much for the info! That is exactly what I am looking for as far as a review. I'm sure the facility is pretty but it seems grossly over priced for what you get. I had a spa package at Elizabeth Arden after Christmas - it was like a facial, mani, pedi, and massage for about $300. The cost if I did something like that at Saratoga is way more. I appreciate the insight!

SSR is our DVC home and we try to hit the spa at least once each time we stay. We've always had a great experience! We did the couples massage the last time and, honestly, I'd say save the money and just have separate massages. The only "couple" thing about it is that you're in the same room - last time the room was fairly large and we were on opposite sides. The services were excellent, but we could have saved a few $$ and been in separate rooms for the same experience!

I agree with the above post - men's locker room was very nice!

Just my two cents!

I went to the SSR spa last week for the first time and enjoyed it. The facilities were nice with a steam room, sauna, whirl pool, showers, etc...everything you would probably expect from a spa. If you are looking for a real spa experience I suggest going to SSR over one of the other deluxe resorts offering massages since they don't have the full amenities. The only real negative i saw of the spa was that the decor could probably use a refresh. Of course the Disney spa prices are going to be more inflated from what you find in the rest of the world.

Thanks for the info! That is exactly what I was looking for. I think we are going to skip the spa experience. So we are back to not knowing what to do. Who knew spending a gift card on a special event would be this tricky! A good problem to have of course.
