booking agent mistake

So the women who booked my trips shorted me one day on my park ticket. She thought it would save me money if I didn't go to a park on the day we leave. We have a 2:30 flight out. I looked into it and wouldn't be that much of a price difference between 6 and 7 days. Depending on when we have to get on the bus to leave, we may still have time to visit a park.

Can I update my ticket on the final day and add the last day onto it?

I know the buses at least begin by 8:30am. A couple years ago I wanted to do some Christmas shopping before my hubby and kids were ready to leave the room. I left early and found that I had to waste time before the shops opened. Not much Christmas shopping completed before the kiddos arrived, but had some good coffee. If you are shopping, Marketplace shops open at 9:30 and West side shops opens at 10:30.

No matter what you plan on doing, remember that DME will be picking you up around 11:30 for a 2:30 flight. (Domestic, 10:30 for int'l) Not an issue if you drive or rent a car, but something to keep in mind. So you might be able to go to DTD or a park for 2-3 hours, but unless you take a cab back to your hotel, you would want to be waiting for the bus an hour or so before your DME pickup, so suddenly you need to be at the bus stop at the park at 10:30. It is definitely enough time to get in, and hit a few rides quickly, but you don't want to miss your bus.

I do believe that the latest ticket upgrade changes require you to do the upgrade prior to the last valid day on the ticket. So if you only have 6 days, you would need to add another day on before end of business on day 6. You cannot walk up on day 7 and try to add it.

You are probably better off skipping a park on your last day. DME will be picking you up around 11:30. Factor in travel time from a park back to your resort and you will only get a couple of "in park" hours. Better to go to DTD or maybe explore your resort.

Make sure you upgrade your tickets before your last day. Upgrades can only be done while the ticket is valid for entry, so once you've used your last admission, you can still upgrade that day, but the next day is too late.

After four days on the ticket, it's only $8.52 per day to add any days up to a total of a 10-day ticket.

Agreed. I would just leisurely pack up all my stuff, and maybe go to a resort to enjoy breakfast such as Kona Cafe at the Polynesian for a great sit down meal. Have a great time!!! Marie
