Good Morning Everyone.Have you ever had any regrets about your WDW vacation, like "I wish we had done this,or that." .Something you planned to do or visit and never did, then when you get home you kick yourself.Maybe it was a Souvineer you wanted to buy but never did,or a ADR you wished you had made.Well my biggest regret was taking so long to discover this magical place,it wasn't until 2004 that we had our first WDW vacation. So what is your biggest Disney regret?

My first trip was in June of 2002, on a whim we decided to go while Vacationing in Naples FL. We knew nothing about the parks and did all four in 2 days. While in EPCOT we did Body Wars and most of the Pavilion...I regret not paying better attention because it closed shortly there after. I just barley remember the ride, the interior and Elizabeth Shue.

For me, not joining DVC sooner; we realized much better vacations since we made the move in 2002 (JMO, others may not agree as DVC has many nuances that may or may not appeal to all).

1. Went to FL in 1995, taking family for first time. Only had a day or so to spend. Went to Sea World because "WDW is too big to see in a day or two", and "kids were too short to ride ALL the rides" . While true, I still wish we had went to WDW then. We missed a lot of old Epcot because we didn't go until .....

2. 1999. a) Used AAA to book a week, but knew very little going into it. Still had the time of our lives, but looking back, wish I had visited a DVC booth back then and got in sooner when the prices were lower. But we didn't, so we didn't return again until 2004.

I don't know if its a regret, but maybe having that gap in between 2002 and 2009. I was going to be 22 in 2002. I went with my parents and sister then plus a couple of family friends. I did a lot of stuff on my own. My sister isn't much into theme parks. My parents wanted to relax a bit. I actually went to MK and Islands of Adventure by myself. Its fun, but not the same. My parents came with me to do some park hopping one day around WDW though. I actually went to Gatorland with our family friend. Good times, haha.

So I guess the reason for that gap was that I didn't have that significant other at the time to go with. My family went back to Florida in 2004 and 2008 but I didn't go. I didn't want to do attractions alone again. When I got married in 2008 I actually requested we go to Florida on our honeymoon. We went to Cuba instead but I made a point of taking my wife to WDW for the first time in 2009, just the two of us.

So while I don't want that kind of wait to happen again (7 years) I also think waiting that long gave me the chance to experience things over again and be able to see it through her eyes.

Maybe waiting so long to try out Typhoon Lagoon (2010) or Animal Kingdom (2009) is a regret.

I'm with the ones on here who'll answer - "not going sooner". My first trip with the family wasn't until 2005, and I was already in my mid 30's by then. For some odd reason, I always thought a WDW vacation was something that you had to "sell the farm" to be able to afford. I know it is not exactly a cheap vacation, but it definitely can be affordable if you plan and save. :p

There are always souvenirs the family and me get home and wish we would have bought well down there. But that's what the NEXT trip is for! ;)

My first trip was in '06 and I was 18, this isn't a regret since it was out of my control but I do wish my family could of went before then so I could of gotten to see some of the older attractions.

I guess my only regret is not ever seeing mickeys toon town on my first 2 trips. I know it was geared at kids but I still would of liked to of seen it.

I regret not riding/opening my eyes on rides when I went in 3rd grade. I was so terrified of everything.

I regret not asking to ride in the front of the monorail on our trip in 2008 - because now you can't!

I regret not doing the Disney college program in college. <---that one's my biggest!

I think my biggest regret is not going on a real 'disney vacation' sooner. My grandparents lived in FL when I was growing up and we visited them almost every year. While we visiting we would usually go to WDW for a day or two but it was never a real vacation to WDW it was just a day trip from my grandparents house. It wasn't until 2009 that I finally went on vacation TO WDW. I had been back from my college program a few months when I saw a commercial for WDW and immediately starting planning a trip with my GF!
