What`s the latest info on this dispicable plan? As you can tell I`m not real crazy about it but I was just wondering if anybody had an update.

Does anyone have any idea as to how much of the property is developed at this point?

Its on the old Eagle Pines Golf Course, not on Bay Lake.
Construction is progressing. Scheduled to open 2014.

More relief of land that could be used for Disney projects.
Given Disney's recent tendency to construct more and more DVC and value resorts, I'm happy that a Four Seasons is being built. I'm sure it'll be beautiful and have a nice restaurant or two on-property (just like how Swan and Dolphin have some of the better restaurants of WDW).

I read that it was going to be built on Bay Lake adjoining the Osprey Ridge golf course. The view would be the Magic Kingdom.

Here is the site plan...as you can see, it's adjacent to the canal (aka Bonnet Creek). It's all kind of tucked in to the east of the Osprey Ridge clubhouse (which would be off the site plan, across the canal to the right).

Here's a rendering from USA Today (Sept '11)

Meaning from the top of the structure... you will be able to see the MK off in the distance over the trees.

The location itself is no where near MK - but since central FL is flat.. any structure with height can see a long way.

I have stayed at a Four Seasons and they are amazing. My question is this: would it be affliated with Disney like the other on property resorts such as CBR or would it still have busing but be somewhat affliated like The Swan/Dolphin?

It won't be a disney hotel. Basically the same as outside hotels, but within the traditional property.

My understanding is that no one will be permitted entrance unless they have a hotel reservation or are a Golden Oak resident... Not sure if that has changed or not.
