You need to strengthen your immune system.

I start by licking the stall door of every rest area bathroom we stop at on the way to Disney.

Once in our resort room I rub the TV remote across each eye and place the telephone firmly in my nostril.

Never been sick a day in my life!

I'll take a good look at the room and make sure everything looks clean. My wife and I will bring our pillows. That's not because of fear but because we are just used to ours. They are molded to our heads by now.

After sharing barracks with 60-ish other guys for months at a time with a single latrine and gang showers, I'm not too worried about Disney hotel rooms.

theres a reason people are getting more and more sick... all of the disinfectant etc etc etc, its all garbage.

I dont use purel, or anything else... guess what, Ive never been sick. Get a cold, bang... some OJ , soup and sleep and I'm 100%. People need to calm down with all of the whipes, cleaners, soaps, etc etc etc

You're right. The more disinfectants, and sanitizers you use, the mroe prone to colds and stuff. I am a contractor and I rarely get sick. I'll catch a cold every other year or so. My body has built up immunitites because I deal with all sorts of dirt, dust, grime etc. My dad is even better. He is approaching 70 and he can go several years without one. He was a carpenter since he was in his teens.

1) WDW changes the duvet covers (and sheets) with each guest. That has been asked before and a number of people have contacted Mousekeeping and that was their response.

2) I am also of the "people are too freaking sensitive" camp. In my 40+ years on this earth I have slept / eaten / sat and existed in some skeevy places. A WDW guest room does not even rank. I also rarely get anything more than a common cold. I have been at my current job 16 years - I was out sick once, with Strep, 10 years ago, for 2 days. I wash my hands, I don't carry sanitizer, lysol, bleach, black lights, or a sleep sack. I think I am doing just fine :D

They definitely do. This past trip as I was leaving my room to check out, the "mousekeeper" was practically standing outside the door waiting to clean and turn around the room. Before we were even out of our room, there was a bag of clean sheets and bed spreads waiting to come into the room. I also have seen clean bedspreads on the carts that mousekeeping use, every trip.

Hotels over the past 5 to 10 years have been very receptive to the feedback they have received. After all the news station reports on how dirty your hotel room is most chains have cleaned up their act. It really was common practice for hotels to only wash their bed spread once a month. But now hotel companies have started washing it after every guest, or even have gotten rid of the spread itself and gone with another blanket option that is easier for them to clean.

A few years ago after checking into our hotel at the corronado springs, we were greated with this lovely gift on the underside of our bedspread.

Yes, it was what smelled and looked like a throw-up/diarrhea mixture; even the mousekeepers was disgusted

WDW is a leader in resource conservation initiatives. Washing bed spreads between each guest is environmentally wasteful of both energy and water resources.

Well, in my hospitality classes we learned that the Bedspread or top layer is often cleaned as few as two times a year. That may vary, and of course sheets and things of that nature are supposed to be washed after every stay. You'd be shocked at the lack of detail that can go into cleaning a room between stays though..

I think about some of the places I slept in while in the Army and Disney is the last place I would worry about. :)

LMAO Exactly!!
