Mark your calendars, Harry Potter fans: 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II' is set to hit U.S. stores on Nov. 11, via both Blu-ray and regular DVD editions. (Unfortunately, UK fans will have to wait until Dec. 2 for their copies.)

If that wasn't enough, the complete box set -- yes, all eight films -- will apparently be out Nov. 11, as well. However, don't get too excited: the info on the box set is still unconfirmed, as are the special features on the 'Deathly Hallows Part II' Blu-ray. Allegedly, the DVD of the final film will include a tour of the Warner Bros. studio lot in London, a preview of Pottermore and a conversation with J.K. Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe

I got the whole series, minus the most recent, on HD-DVD some sort of colectors edition too, for like $20...and an hd dvd player for another like $20. It may be a dead format but they still released a lot of films on it.

HD-DVD was Blu-Ray's rival HD format. They had a format war. Blu-ray won. HD-DVD went bye-bye.

yup, and if you look in the right places you can get HD-DVD's for like $2 and they are the same quality as blu-rays

No. You need to have an HD-DVD player...its like what happened with VHS and Betamax. Blu-Ray won so now movies are not being released in the format, but during the feud lots of movies were, so you can find them cheap. I have an HD-DVD player i found cheap, and also and attachment for the X-Box-360 that makes it able to play HD-DVD's.
