Best and Worst Resorts - Interesting

Well, I think so.

Some travel guides including the official guide, list the Yacht Club as the best Deluxe Resort at Disney. However, the Unofficial Guide which gets it's information from readers, has listed the Yacht Club as the worst Deluxe 3 years in a row. The Boardwalk Inn was listed as the resort people were least likely to return to and least likely to recommend to their friends (including Moderates and Values.)

Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge, oddly the 2 least expensive of the Deluxe Resorts and the ones with the smallest rooms, have both ranked at the top of the chart for the past 4 years.

There is one big thing that Yacht and Boardwalk have over the WL and AKL. Location. It's a big plus to be able to walk to two parks.

Just out of curiosity, were there reasons given?

For the Boardwalk, no. They just have a listing every year of which resorts people will and won't stay at again. Only 33% said they would return to the Boardwalk, down from 40% last year.

The YC scored poorly in customer service, rooms, dining, sound and bus service.

The UnOfficial also says (in reference to Caribbean Beach) that Barbados is the best island to stay at because it is so centrally located--yet it is one of the most remote. Says rooms are 314sq ft, when they are 340 in reality.

Those are just some errors, I am sure there are more.

Surprised to hear that those 2 (BoardWalk and Yacht Club) score so low when my social circle claims Contemp and Grand Flo as the worst of the bunch.

That surprises me as well. I would have put OKW and Saratoga at the bottom.

The guides always have errors in them. For example, Fodor's claims Yacht and Beach is on Seven Seas Lagoon.:veryconfu Luxury Guide to WDW claims Boardwalk's rooms are 434 sq ft.
