Ok... so after a VERY long dry spell, we are going back to Disney next month :ROFLOL:

I'm so excited I could burst! First disney vacation with both children!! <3 Anyway... I did plan the trip last minute and did the best I could as far as ADR's go. Here is my food itinerary, suggest for me some of the best menu items please!! We really tried to explore new places this time, while sticking with a few favorites. Alsoooo... this is my first experience with the deluxe dining plan.

Sat evening: We arrive at POR (eeek!) I promised my son that we would wait for dinner at T-Rex since I could NOT get a reservation at all... and I know it isn't on the dining plan but he's a little boy and this is the one meal that will complete this perfect vacation for him!

Sunday:
Breakfast at O'hana (I have waited over 2 years to get my hands on this breakfast once again!) I couldn't get a res until 10:30 but who cares... I need this food in my life.
No lunch reservation... we're doing magic kingdom after breakfast and we'll grab something there along the way....
Dinner at Narcoossee's... for the first time! Wouldn't have really given it much thought but the disney sales rep actually suggested it, and after reviewing the menu, yum!

Monday:
Breakfast at Boma (first time!)
Lunch at rainforest cafe in AK, again... more for the kiddos
Dinner at Fultons Crab House (newbie to Fulton's as well...) I have been to DW 4 times prior to this and I've always wanted to eat on that boat!

Tuesday:
Breakfast at Kona... no explanation needed. The tonga toast and I.... we've met.
No lunch ADR, we'll be hopping around the water parks that day.
Dinner at Yachtsman, again... never been! I do love a good steak though :slurp:

Wednesday:
Breakfast at POR.. didn't want to get up too early since we'll be tearing up Mickey's Halloween Party Tuesday night!
No lunch ADR.. we'll find something when we're good and ready! hehe...
Dinner at Raglan Road, first time there but have heard great things!

Thursday:
Character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, total newbie to H&V!
No Lunch ADR... not sure if we'll still be in HS or headed off to Epcot by then... and I'm told the food & wine fest will be going on, no lunch may be needed lol!
Dinner at Tutto Italia... my fav! I NEED tutto on my last night at wdw... bottom line!

Friday:
Breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe... never been, but the atmosphere looks like my kind of place!

Friday afternoon.... adios Disney, until next time :(

First of all, call T Rex directly. I hear that it is much easier to get reservations that way. (407) 828-8739. They only release a few to Disney for ADRs.

Thank you!! I will definitely call them, I found it odd that I really didn't have trouble finding ADR's for ANY other restaurant downtown lol.

I noticed that you have dinner at the Yachtsman reserved for the night you say you are attending MNSSHP. Do you know that you can get into the MK at 4pm with those party tickets even though the event does not officially start until 7pm? If you want to get the most bang for your buck, you might not want to eat at the Yachtsman that night. The rest looks good though.

You definitely won't need a sit-down lunch during the F&W Festival on Thursday - use your Snack credits here and you'll be more than full! :slurp:

Thanks for the tip!! I ended up doing some switches and we added a 50's prime time lunch to the mix, and also took yachtsman off the trip and moved things around a bit and was able to find a dinner ADR for 1900 park fare!

Wow! This is me, but I would not do 2 TS meals per day. I typically figure you are looking at 1 1/2 hours per TS meal which is nearly 3 hours per day sitting in a restaurant and a lot of $$$ to boot. Unless you have the deluxe dining plan, I would look at pulling a meal or two. I also could not eat that much food. :o We did that same thing many years ago after a 10 year Disney hiatus and we booked breakfast and dinner ressies and it was way too much and we got home and were disappointed that we wasted too much time eating.

For some recommendation on the food:
Yachtsman Steakhouse go for the Porterhouse steak :slurp:
Raglan Road I would go for the Bangers and Booz or the Slow Ribs

We are on the deluxe dining plan :) But I discovered that Fultons doesn't accept it so I swapped that one out for the Boma dinner... I ended up switching a TON lol! did manage to snag a lunch at crystal palace as well... I'm really trying to make this one more fun for the kids, who are we kidding I go for two reasons... POR atmosphere and FOOD. Last time we took DS I was so annoyed at the thought of going elsewhere for breakfast... I agreed to eat at Ohana... and then I saw the light
I did get a 7:15 for T-Rex and it really does stink to pay for that dinner on top of my dining plan but I can't deny the kids... dinosaurs are to them what diamonds are to me! LOL!! And i showed DH a pic of those raglan road ribs... those things shouldn't even be legal they look so good!

If for whatever reason Rainforest Cafe or Dinosaur falls through, Pollo Campero is delicious.
Try the family feast with the signature fried chicken, Campero beans, and yucca fries... and get something for the rest of your family, too.
Sit outside if you can, though. It's noisy in there.

Boma is a great place if you have not been there. We absolutely love the food there, but @ $40.00 per person with a 12 Y/O girl that eats almost nothing I cannot justify going there.

Hi

On the Deluxe Plan you get 3 TS credits Per day and I counted 5 nights, so 15 TS credits. But when I looked thru your itinerary I saw 13 credits getting used. That would mean you could upgrade to a signature restaurant twice.

I'd check the use of the dining credits, and if you've left one on the table (so to speak) use it!

PS The Fried Chicken at 50s Prime Time is heavenly.

I've changed so much around lol... Ok here is the newer and FINAL ADR list...

Oct 22nd- 7:15 T-REX (no dining plan being used :brick: )

Oct 23rd- Ohana bkfst, Crystal Palace lunch, Narcoossee's dinner

Oct 24th- Boma bkfst, Rainforest Cafe lunch, Tutto Italia dinner

Oct 25th- Kona bkfst, no lunch adr... but we will sit down somewhere, Boma dinner

Oct 26th- Cape May bkfst, no lunch adr... probably eat at POR since this is our "resort lounge" day... Raglan Road dinner

Oct 27th- Hollywood & Vine bkfst, 50's prime time lunch, 1900 Park Fare dinner

Oct 28th- Whispering Canyon Cafe bkfst!

Who knew ADR's would be the most time consuming and agonizing part of planning my vacation! Too many great places to choose from! :slurp:

Great choices! You're certainly in for some good food! Boma is fantastic for any meal and quite honestly with the amount of food and choices you probably won't even need lunch since you'll be so full! Fulton's is fantastic as well as long as you're seafood people since that's what most of the menu is. I find it one of the "hidden gems" of WDW. People tend not to think about it when they book their ressies but it's really great. Whispering Canyon is one of my favorites. It can be loud because of the atmosphere but that's part of the fun of going there. Be sure to ask for the ketchup!! If you don't want to be bothered by all the acting going on be sure to let your server know but I highly suggest playing into all of it!

I see you now have Boma for dinner the night of MNSSHP instead of Yachtsman. That will still make it difficult to get to the party at 4pm and enjoy all they have to offer without leaving the park to get to AK for dinner and back. But of course that is up to you!

Also, as another posted suggested, you might want to cut out a few of the 1 credit TS meals and combine credits to go to a Signature restaurant. That will enable you to have a higher quality meal and not to cut into your park time as much.

I wanted to keep my Fulton's ADR SOOOOO bad but I found out they don't accept regular or deluxe dining plan... bummer! What are some examples of a 2 credit signature restaurant? Victoria and Alberts?? What else? I know Cinderella's Royal Table and I did try to get a spot for that, with zero luck lol!!

V&A is one of the only restaurants NOT on the dining plan. Any Signature restaurant, dinner show and Cinderella's Royal Table are on the dining plan. I suggest California Grill but I also very much enjoy Artist's Point, Jiko, Citricos and Narcossee.

Looks like a great lineup to me! ADR planning definitely takes time and thought, its key to a smooth itinerary and my favorite part of booking our trips! I also agree that maybe Boma isn't placed well if that's your MNSSHP night. Maybe a Magic Kingdom TS like Tony's Town Square or you could try for Cinderella's table and use 2 credits? I am jealous, this is my favorite time of year for WDW, have a magical trip!

Thank you! Thanks everyone for the responses... I think I have it all completed now :brick: I'm just such a perfectionist and second guess everything! I have 2 signature dinners in there so I believe we will use up all of our meals, and even if I'm too stuffed for snacks, they will be coming back to the room for late morsels LOL!! We just haven't been in well over 2 years and who knows with our schedules when we'll be able to get back down, so I really wanted to make the most of it!
