No connection to Disney, despite his name being similar to a Disney theme park. His father is Leroidesanimaux, which is French for "King of the Animals." It's not uncommon among racehorses to name the offspring in such a way that it references the parents (Seabiscuit's father was Hard Tack, for example). So, as a result, you get the name Animal Kingdom.

Sweet. I only did $10 across because of the name as well. Had he been named anything else, I would have made him a throw in on my exactas and trifectas because of his record and going from turf to dirt.

I won $200 bucks because of him so thank you Disney.
