Missing Elephant on Jungle Cruise

Was on the Jungle Cruise last week and the 1st elephant that you encounter was missing but the sound still played. Has the elephant been gone long? I am surprised they would keep the sound going unless it was all

Idk how long its been gone but its only down for a refurb. They just never turned off the sound. I find it weird they are refurbing that over other stuff that needs it more,and the fact a major refurb is coming in 2014.

Well 3 years isn't exactly right around the corner.
My guess is it must have been having technical difficulties and something had to be done immedietly.
