I just saw that Southwest has Wanna Get Away flights for cheap.. really cheap.. my eldest and my mother were going to Amtrak it but if that price is for real it's cheaper to fly...so can I book Wanna get away(web only) for real? I have never booked a flight.. help!

Try out of Alban (airport code ALB) into Orlando (MCO) via Southwest. They will most likey have a layover or have to change planes in either Baltimore or Dulles. If you are able to do this then they can use Magical Express to get to the resort and you wont have to worry about picking them up!! Good Luck

ALB is more expensive..I can get from bradley to orlando non stop for $79 each way.. if I book n pay online it's real right? LOL.. i just have never done this. Do i get paper tickets or so I have to print something? My oldest will be 16 and traveling with my mother..

Albany is the closest for sure..we've flown to MCO from both though..but back then I had a friend who was a TA so i didn't deal with the whole booking it myself..plus it's been 10 years..lots has changed..

Ok..thats a great price!!! Yes do it all on line. You will get a conformation number which you will need for check in 24 hours before the flight!! Once you check in on line you will have to print the boarding passes which will give you a number which is used for order to board. NO assigened seat on Southwest...first come first pick!!!!! Its that easy. Here if you have any more questions!!!

I am not one that buy much on line...but I do all my air travel on line. Its a paperless system and very easy. You will do just fine and jsut think of the time you are saving your mom and son....3 hour flight instead of 20??? hours by train. Once you have all your flight info confirmed just give Dinsey a call and give them the info and they will be able to use ME to get to the resort!!! Good Luck!!! But dont wait long to book the flight or you may lose the great fairs!!!

That is AWESOME and saved loads of TIME!!!!! CONGRATS!!! No make it on your calendar to go online 24 hours before the flight and pre-board and print baording passes. And if they are flying home...any Guest Services will do this for you!!! Now call Disney!!!

LOL.. I will be on my way TO Disney when they need to print the tickets ( we are driving).. and I will call Disney as soon as my other 3 kids are not home..the trip is a surprise..lol

Thats right!!!! I know what its like keep a secret!!! I hate it but will be worth it in the end!!! Just have your son do it. You can go online any time and do it to see what it does so he is fimialar with it. It will just tell you its too early!!! You dont have to do this...but it will save time at the airport and will allow you to board earlier and get better seats!!!!

yeah my oldest will be able to..so they really just print the boarding passes and go?? No actual tickets? do they go to the ticket counter and such still? they won't have an bags but a carry on each...

Oh since my oldest is only 16 and traveling with my mother ..will there be any issues? He doesn't have ID..but they have the same last name ( unlike me lol).. their flight is VERY early..6:15... they will use a park n fly long term parking and shuttle.. I am such a control freak this is going to be very hard to not be there..lol.. I need to be sure I know exactly what they need to do to make their flight!

If they dont have any bags and have boarding passes they can go strait to the Secutity line. I think the age is 18 for requiring ID. You might post a question asking about age and ID at security..someone here should know. I have always had ID for my kids so it was never an issue for me. Worse case you take him and get an ID. (got got my kids ID once we started flying...a just in case kind of thing) Once past Security then they would head to the gate. Once your able to call Disney with flight info you will get a package closer to travel time with passes and info for ME. It will give full directions on how to find the ME within the Orlando airport. They will board the bus and it will drop them at your resort!! You should plan on them to arrive at the resort about 60 -120 minutes (give or take a few) once the plane lands.

The ME thing is really what clinched flying.. aside from the cheap tickets.. as it was were were going to have to pay a taxi to get them from pop to amtrak on departure day. I am so excited..

I think I will just take him for an ID sometime in the next few months! Yep..we are taking all their bags so no need to check anything.. the whole no ticket thing is new to me..LOL.. self printed boarding pass.. very cool..LOL

ME will send a letter to your room a day or 2 before they check out that will give you a pick up time (about 3 hours before flight depart). They will just need to make sure where the bus will pick them up (same spot they get dropped off) and be there a few minutes ahead of pick up time. Also you should be able to take advantage of Airline pre boarding at the resort. They will do it all for you...so a couple days before time to go check into that at the resort. If not bags then i would really just go to customer service and let them do it for you...but they may send you to the other desk.
