Do you like the Hard Rock Hotel or the Lowes Royal Pacific Resort better. I'm going in April and I awat to get suggestions. I already stayed at the Portifino Hotel.

Depends on your style preference I suppose. Both resorts are quite nice and have some great restaurants. Hard Rock's pool is better, with a lengthy water slide and an underwater sound system... Hard Rock's also closer to the parks in terms of walking distance (a 2 minute walk from the pool has you popping out right next to the Studio Gates). Royal Pacific is a lengthier walk (10 minutes max I'd say) and has you popping out near Jimmy Buffet's, right across the bridge from Islands of Adventure. Hard Rock obviously has a more modern look to it with rooms to match - Royal Pacific is more exotic and beautiful with lots of foliage and water features. I've stayed at both many times (though Royal Pacific more since it tends to be slightly less expensive) and enjoy them verily.

Hope this helps! If you have any more specific questions, let me know and I'll do my best to provide additional assistance.

Thanks! That Really helped! I'll probably stay at the Hard Rock! Thank you!:sohappy:

Skip said it best, but if it means anything confirmation from another perosn who has stayed at all of them multiple times.

Royal Pacific is my least favorite of the three. Not to say it is not nice but you can see why it is the cheaper of the three.

No matter what you get you will have fun and if you are able I highly reccomend eating breakfast at "The Kitchen" at the Hard Rock Hotel. It is quite the buffet feast.

I prefer Royal Pacific, as long as you have a room looking over the parks or the pool or something. Having a room that looks out at I-Drive kind of ruins the illusion. However, with kids I would suggest Hard Rock instead, for couples I'd prefer Royal Pacific. Unfortunately I can't afford Portifino but I do want to try that one some time.

Heading for the great escape.
Have only ever stopped at the Hard Rock, love the place, this June will be our 8th stay. Club 7 is excellent and the Kitchen a very underrated restaurant.

i must say, the rooms were not all that great at the hard rock...i wanted to stay there for years, and we finally went this past summer. if it wasnt for the early admission into the wizarding world, i would have been very upset i turned down my dvc resort. the exterior and the lobby were gorgeous though!

one tip if you stay at the hard rock...at least pay for the valet service the day you get there and the day you leave...if you use regular parking, you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs before you reach the lobby area, and there are A LOT of stairs! for us it was hard b.c we had our 2year old plus the bags.

it was too late to do that...the area was full of unloads, and we never saw the parking area before then so we just parked instead... but yea that would be a better suggestion if its not busy! LOL
