Not big enough for a lap top or eneve a larger camera, most of the safes are only big enough for wallets and/or personal papers. They are key locked

Some of the deluxe resorts, Polynesian, Contemporary etc have large safes, which are about the size of one small drawer. I'm guessing about the size of a night stand drawer, these are combination safes.

I would not stress over it too much. Disney is incredibly strict with its housekeeping CM about theft and it is quite uncommon. I have left my laptop out at Disney resorts more times than I can count and it has never been touched. Just use common sense, put stuff away and make sure your door is closed when you leave.

I have also left my laptop and such out during the day and have never had a problem. Disney institutes a number of features with their housekeeping staff in order to prevent issues from occuring. For example, the door must be left open at all times while they are in the room. They also have to dial in to a system and enter their personal code when they start and finish the room. This allows Disney to track exactly who has been in a room and how long they have been there so they can investigate if any issues should arise.

We usually have 2 laptops with us, the kids just put them in the drawer of the dresser. We also have left them out charging and have never had a problem.

I think it will be fine just to put it away in a drawer. We've accidentally left money out before & never had a problem. Not alot of money....just a few bills but still everything was right where we left it when we got back.

I agree with Wendysue.

My husband has a Macbook Pro (17 inch) and his fit in the safe.

Same for my basic Macbook (15 inch.) We could also squeeze in our wallets, if we wanted.

No way the Canon will fit, unless you take of the lens, the safe isn't deep enough. Even if you take off the lens, I doubt you could fit the laptop and the camera. But you'll have the camera with you at the parks right?

But I also agree with everyone above about the safety of leaving things out. We have also left our computers out and had no problems with anything being taken from our rooms. :)
