Dragon Legend Acrobats leaving Epcot in early 2011

Thats too bad. I loved watching them everytime we were in China. Management is going to have to get a good act to replace them.

I want to be optimistic here and say that it has something to do with the performers themselves, and not a cutback by management. The show is great and draws nice crowds, so I am hoping that it is more of a decision with the group and not Disney.

I would love to be optimistic as well....

Operative word being "would," however.....

It would be very sad if Disney chose to end this show...we'll know more when they announce the new show for February 2011. If it is something similarly impressive, then that's fine.

Gee - I really hope they have another troupe of World Showcase Players. The ones in Italy and the UK aren't enough.

That was my thought as well. The acrobats will probably just be replaced with a comedy group that isn't even from China.

Very sad news. :(

Dragon Legend Acrobats are one of my favorite Live Performers in World Showcase, possibly my favorite. And they are certainly my favorite of all the non-musical performers in WS.

When I was younger and just focused on "attractions" I would often finish WS in just a few hours, but now that I am into the entertainment as well, I can easily spend an entire day just in WS. (well, most of the day, since it doesn't open until 11 AM. But this clearly makes Epcot a "two day" park for me).

Things like the Dragon Legend Acrobats are an important component to the World Showcase experience, complimenting the theming, architecture, attractions, and art galleries already in place, to give the visitor a more complete taste of each nation.

I hope the powers that be don't completely lose sight of this. I STILL miss Spelmann's Gledje from Norway...

So there's quite a few things to say goodbye to at WDW in the coming months. Mickey's Toontown Fair, Playhouse Disney Live (current version), Block Party Bash, and now the Dragon Legend Acrobats. Anything else I forgot? (Other than Snow White's Adventures, which hasn't been officially confirmed yet)

Too many guests were enjoying the entertainment. It was causing traffic flow challenges and prevented people from getting into the shops and restaurants.

Thats too bad we always like watching them, but it does sound like they are going to be replaced with something else hopefully something as well done.

I'm not willing to accept that as a reason for their departure....

I used to stop on every trip to view them, but I'm over it now. :snore:
They've been great, but 25 years is plenty.

All things end at some point, time to move on.:)

I'm really disappointed by this. I only just discovered the Dragon Legend Acrobats over the last few years, and now they're a must see every time I go to Epcot.

It sounds like I won't have another chance to see them before they go away.
