Is this from a lack of audience at the shows? If it is maybe we can get more weekly showings of f!
I believe it has been a real struggle generating enough interest from people to actually try out for the show. They have been doing park-wide announcements, billboards, cast at the turnstyles, signage all over the place. I'm actually surprised it's been so difficult. I really expected a lot of people to want to give it a go.
I think Disney expected this as well with the whole are that they built up for tryouts. However, I guess people don't want to put themselves on the line like that when they are on vacation. Also, the prize really isn't anything special. I think that if they want to boost attendance and get people to give up a portion of their day that they are paying a high price for, they should offer something better. A fast pass to try out for a dying franchise (that only a certain age demograpic can actually use) isn't really all that appealing.
I agree. Give the contestants a couple FPs for the park that day since they are taking out so much of their day. Atleast for TSMM and some of the other headliners.

It would have been easier if they'd actually made this back when American Idol was...you know...THE THING? Didn't this open not long after the 7th or 8th season?
This is the problem with building an attraction on a property that has no guarantee of lasting value.
This was only a matter of time. I enjoyed this show in the few times that I saw it, but it definitely does not have staying power. Having said that, my guess is it will last for as long as the TV show.
