Annual pass room discount

I have reservations for August 14-20, 2010 at CBR with a one day base ticket and free quick service dining. We're also hoping to get annual passes. Is it possible to use the annual pass discount on room rates for the current August reservation?

No, you cannot combine discount offers. Since you already have free dining, you will not be able to apply an AP passholder discount.

No, you cannot combine free dinign with AP rates...I wish!!! It would cost me next to nothing to go...

Though one thing you *will* be able to do is upgrade the 1-day ticket to an Annual Pass.

And if ticket prices go up between now and then (which they're supposedly going to do next week), make sure to USE the 1-day ticket to enter a park before upgrading. Due to a quirk in the system (which is freely talked about by CMs who deal with ticketing), that will give you the new value of a 1-day ticket toward your Annual Pass (which may or may not also increase in price next week...)

Wow! Thanks for the advice! So just use the ticket and then upgrade? Wouldn't it have to be that same day since it's a one day ticket? Is the AP price scheduled to go up next week as well?

One thing to look at if you are thinking about getting an annual pass is if the AP reate may be worth more to you than free dining. It depends on where you want to stay and how many folks in your party. For our stay this winter, Free Dining is available for one of the weeks we are there but since we want to stay at the Poly and already have an AP and the Tables in Wonderland Card, we will save way more than the $80 a day Free Dining will save us by using the AP rate and paying OOP for our meals. For just the 2 of us its a clear win. For the 6 of us that went last year, we made a killing on free dining, especially with our friends 20 and 22 yr old sons :animwink:

Even though it's a one-day ticket, I believe you have 14 days from the day you use it to upgrade it to an AP.

Some of you may be able to eyeball it faster than I can look up the prices and do the math. My trip is just me and my fiance(wife when we arrive though!!), a six night at Caribbean Beach(Aug 14-19), five days in the parks. Am I right the quick service plan is $31/night? Does it sound like I'd come out better using the AP room rate? My math says it's $648 with AP but no dining vs. $1,044 with free dining plan. Based on that it's a no brainer, but I could be missing something. Thanks for all your help!

OK Just quickly doing the math, you would have to add in the regular Plus Dining plan which is about $42.00 per person per night of your stay to the AP rate you got to be comparing packages that are similar. So $84.00 a night multiplied by 6 nights is $504.00 for the same dining plan you would get with the Free Dining offer. Add $504.00 and the $648 that you said you got as the room rate for the AP discount and it is $1152.00 which is more expensive than the Free Dining offer and that doesnt even factor in the price of an Annual Pass itself which is about $500.00 per person.
The Quick service Dining plan is available for purchase with the AP Discounted room (based on availability) but even with thatit is $384 for the Quick Service plan, plus the room rate of $648 that is $1032.00 which is only slightly less expensive than the Free Dining offer which includes a 2 day base ticket ( minimum for the regular Free dining offer) Given that I would go with the Free Dining without a question. Hope this helps! Marie

Side note: I believe this year's free dining promo requires a 2-day base ticket, not the 1-day base as in prior years. If correct, this might affect your math a little. Also, I believe CBR would get the DDP, not the QS plan, right?

Exactly as I thought as well unless the OP got a special offer that I am not aware that is out there. Marie
