Tomorrowland Terrace a TS???

I was just doing some dining searches and in the list of offerings is the Tomorrowland Terrace being suggested for a reservation. I thought that was a counter service place unless they were doing the dessert party? Here's what it says:

Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe at Magic Kingdom theme park is a delightful outdoor eatery offering fresh American salads, pasta and beef dishes and assorted desserts during dinner hours. Enjoy flavorful buffet-style entrees and then get back to the fun!

So now it's a buffet? Can anyone confirm this? Just curious. :wave:

Interesting. I've seen the lower portion of the terrace set up as a buffet before, with those tall potted evergreen plants used to set up a screen of some kind to limit access, but I assumed it was some kind of private party. This was probably around this time last year. Perhaps it's something that they do seasonally and manage to fill it up without advertising, and so most people never hear about it. And now the online ADR system has made it more visible? Just speculation, but it seems reasonable.

The dates I was searching were mid to late September so it's not like it's a busy time period where they're opening alternate dining locations up to accommodate big crowds. I don't know that I'd want to pay that much for a buffet with seating outside. Just doesn't sound very appetizing.

They've done this before, usually during Free Dining. I think it's so the non-planners will have a walk-up option.

Gotcha. Now that makes sense. We've never been during the free dining time period before. Interesting.
