When I last went to Orlando I went to Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens despite still doing the WDW parks. I enjoyed them. But I swear WDW, they aren't as good as you and I was thinking about you the whole time!

Well I've stayed off site every time and recently I park hopped and took the buses. Does that count? Should I not have done that? That's the only way to get to the other parks without driving

Ah, I see. The poll makes it much easier.

Lets see, I've pool hopped, lied about child's age to buy tickets, and also lied about number of people in a room. If this was a real relationship, we'd be over by now

The buses are a part of the transportation system, just like the monorails or the TTC ferryboats. They're not for resort guests only, otherwise you'd have to show your room key before you were allowed to board.

And no, I've never "cheated" on Disney in the sense that I've never tried to game the system to get something I'm not entitled to, whether by using old mugs to get free drinks or by complaining about something to get an undeserved free upgrade of some kind. My wife has taken flash photos on rides, but whenever she does that I pretend I don't know her (and I'm going to be in big trouble when she reads this :D)

I've been to Universal, despite having full opportunity to go to DW, if thats what you mean.

That's what I thought was meant as well. I got Universal APs one year instead of WDW, in large part because my employer offered a company discount. Even with the substantial discount, which brought the price to barely a third of what I'd have paid for the Disney APs, I still ended up feeling like I got burned. I learned my lesson :)

I meant to include a "none of the above" option for the saints among us. Too late to add it now.

I thought the buses were only for people staying at a Disney report. But maybe I'm wrong.

-booked 2 ADR's at the same time, but we always cancel the one that we aren't going to once we decide.
-violated no flash instructions, but it was on Pirates of the Caribbean when I had the boat to myself

Haha, I'm trying to make myself feel better.

I was ready to chime in and say WDW transportation is free to all guests. But I decided to do a little research first, and found this:

Disney′s BoardWalk

Transportation to and from the Parks and Walt Disney World Resort hotels is complimentary for Resort hotel Guests.

While staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, there's no need to rent a car, or deal with the hassle of driving and parking. Save time and the hassle of driving and parking with complimentary transportation.

Destinations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Theme Parks and Disney Water Parks, are accessible by bus and boats.

Complimentary transportation is available one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time and up to 3 hours after Disney Theme Park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 3 a.m. from the Downtown Disney Area.

Certain areas of Walt Disney World Resort are also connected by well-lit, paved, low-grade walking paths.

Even this isn't that clear. Are they saying that transportation between resort hotels and parks is intended for resort guests (that seems obvious), or that all resort-wide transportation — including buses running only between parks — is for on-site guests? If it's the latter, then obviously the (non-hotel) monorails and ferries are excluded.

I wonder if there really is a coherent, single policy on this. The wording seems deliberately vague to me.

How about adding a box for none of the above....

Our family of 5 have been to Disney for each of the last 5 years and couldn't participate in your poll.

Once again the "good guys finish last"

Interesting. Notice that it doesn't say that transportation is complementary ONLY for resort guests, only that it is complementary for resort guests. So it's technically true, even though transportation is for everyone, but still manages to make it sound like a perk of staying on property!

Reminds me of something I read once in the booklet you receive with an AP. I haven't read it in a while, but one of the older ones listed ADRs as a passholder benefit, and included a phone number distinct from the 407-WDW-DINE number, as if it was a dedicated passholder hotline, when that was not the case at all. The number worked, but dumped you into the same phone menu as any of their phone numbers, and as we all know ADRs are definitely NOT a passholder exclusive perk.

If you want to see something even more confusing, just go to the WDW home page and use their search box for "transportation". It's like any search engine in that it shows a list of relevant links with a synopsis under each one. The synopsis under several of the links, including the first one, says:

Transportation to and from Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park is complimentary for Resort hotel Guests. For all Guests, monorail, walkway, boat and bus are transportation options throughout the Resort.

If that isn't cryptic enough, if you follow the link, the page you end up at doesn't say the same thing!

Anyway, I think it's pretty clear that the buses are for everyone. As I said, the statement that they are complimentary for resort guests is technically true either way - probably just clever marketing on Disney's part.

I've taken flash photos, but I swear it wasn't intentional, just my own stupidity. We were watching HoP and I had a new camera that I was going to try taking low light pictures with but screwed up the settings. I was extremely embarrassed and immediately put my camera away before i made the same mistake.

yes i admit it, I made multiple ADRs but have cancelled prior to reservation(afraid they would cancel all my ADRs).

The one I am most tempted by is parking at resort for free:(
