Captain EO question

Something way out there, something romantic and totally dream-like, purely about imagining.

Unfortunately Martin, such a film without a straightforward plot or trademark characters would be criticized as a "drug trip". Ironically, likely by those who have never taken drugs who are merely trying to cover up their own dull imaginations. ;)

I don't care what anybody says though, Magic Journeys is good old fashioned nightmare fuel. It ended with horrifying clowns and a CGI eyeball...

alot of what I've read here, and Martin please add insight or knowledge.....was that Kodak had in their contract for a refurb with JII after so many years....maintanence costs/issues along with Kodak forced Disney to do something with JII.......obviously a disaster is what took place.....now, how long is left on the Kodak contract currently? is there a possiblity Kodak has the same clause for a refurb to be done again? if they do, is this when the current pavilion will get refurbed (thinking Disney would stick Kodak with part of the bill and sign another deal) or will Disney just put up the tab on this refurb? And my final question....does it make sense to to start sending letters to Kodak about the Pavilion to maybe pressure them to ask for another refurb if they do indeed have it written in the current contract? just some thoughts.....

Well Martins' vid ended abruptly so I didn't see the eyeball, but I saw the clowns.

Ignoring Magic Journeys aside (which I'm sure is hard for some to do), I don't see Disney making an abstract, not based on an existing property without at least a major celebrity, 3-D film again.

ITTBAB (A Bug's Life)
Genie show at TDS (Aladdin)
Muppet Vision 3-D (self explanatory)
Mickey's PhilharMagic (ditto)
HISTA ("Honey I..." did something 'er other franchise)
Captain EO (at least had major star MJ)

Going way back there was even the Mickey Mouse Club 3-D Jamboree at Disneyland.

Even other parks have movies / celebrity driven concepts...
Though it would be possible to do something strange.. I know Avatar in 15 minutes :drevil:

I say yes it is time :). They arrant imagineers Kodak... I think our opinion would mean allot. Now my thoughts are disney would also do something like making that change to keep that contract instead of loosing a sponsor. If kodak is aware that the crowds were shortened and the ride isn't rode over and over again and sometimes ignored by epcot visitors I think either they would restore the attraction to its original glory or just leave when the contracts up.
