We only discovered in the past few years how great the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich are. Now it's a must-do for us for lunch at least once on our trip!

We also usually get dessert at Ghiradelli one night, and get the free chocolate sample they give out to guests. We always try to guess which flavor it will be.

I love to check out all the scrapbooking stuff at Art of Disney and World of Disney. We spend a lot of time at World of Disney actually! We split up and meet later, because it's so big. I get most of my souveniers from there because they have the biggest selection.

We usually eat at either Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex too, just because we think the environment is fun! There's so many cute shops & good restaurants in DTD. You won't have a problem finding lots to do. :)

I've always wanted to make my own Potato Head at the World of Disney Store. And I'm going to try Cirque- hopefully. I've heard it's a must-see.

From personal experiences, DisneyQuest is awesome (for guys). True, they aren't too state of the art at all, but it's well worth admission if you like any types of gaming or virtual experiences.

Earl of Sandwich (very happy that DLRP is getting one this year), Ghirardellis, Days of Christmas shop, the fudge in Goofys sweet shop, Arribas Brothers and of course the World of Disney. We also like to go to the HoiPolloi shop to look for quirky things. Last year we went to Cirque and Raglan Road for the first time, and I want to try Characters in Flight next time. I love DTD.

We love looking at the huge LEGO sculptures in and near the LEGO store. My favorites are the sea serpent in the lake and the family with their dogs.

Ghiradelli's a must. As is Earl of Sandwich. Alot of people are starting to think that DTD and the Marketplace is getting somewhat past it. I don't agree though. I can also spend time at the Marketplace, and never get bored, it's just got a great atmosphere. I don't really do the West Side now though.

Cirque is a must-see at least once if you've never seen it before.

Other than that, we window shop. (Is it window shopping if you actually buy stuff?) Okay, we shop.

We're not big on the table service at DTD. Our experiences there haven't been too child friendly. Sure, there's Rainforest Cafe. But we just weren't impressed by that. I've heard good things (or better things anyway) about T-Rex, but my daughter is afraid of dinos. So we haven't tried it yet.

We like the counter service at Wolfgang Puck's. We've had varying quality on the pizzas there. But even the worst one we had was still pretty great. It's like table service only without the snooty wait staff. We've never tried Earl of Sandwich, but that's on my list for our next trip.

Disney Quest is okay if you really like video games. The one time we went, it was included in our package. But I couldn't see actually paying for it separately. If you have the water parks option and don't think you'll use all your days at the water parks, DQ is a fun diversion.

There's stuff to do at Downtown Disney?

Just kidding! I'm a great fan of the Earl as well, along with the Lego Store. I also seem to get roped into the kitchen store that's connected to the Earl, and the Disney Christmas store as well. I also enjoy walking through the Art of Disney store for a little while.....

Earl of Sandwich

Usually our very first day in Lake Buena Vista, we always go to DTD
and have a late lunch at the Earl of Sandwich. They are amazing, fresh and a good value for the money. Then we try to do our gift shopping there, so that the rest of our vacation in spent in the parks having a blast. :ROFLOL::sohappy:

I love Disney quest, its great to do late at night after dinner, even if it is a little busy sometimes. Some bits of it are looking pretty tired Aladdin's magic carpet ride particularly springs to mind, but its definitely fun for a good few hours.

My favorite thing to do at DtD is explore the ruins of PI. Its kind of like exploring Machu Pichu, seeing the remnants of a once great civilization. The Adventurers Club is a particularly well preserved building, really beautiful and haunting.

Aside from that, there is lots of good shopping down in the Marketplace, the Christmas store is especially nice. Some of the food options are good too, I know its not exactly gourmet food, but the Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex are both good fun.

As for the WestSide, I like Disney Quest. The Pirates of the caribbean ride is lots of fun, so is the silly Buzz Lightyear bumper car attraction. There are also lots of other fun video games scattered about in every direction. It may not be worth the price of a single admission, but if you are adding the Water park and more option, then I would definitely recommend heading over there.

On our August trip- we did the new balloon ride. It was $14.95 p/p. I really enjoyed being that high above WDW and seeing the recognizable sights. Our "pilot" was terrific and made the experience worthwhile.

Also- if you're looking for a time filler- you could take the boat ride from DTD to POR or POFQ and eat there or just look around. If it was me- I'd even pack our bathing suits and hang by the pool for a while!

We also like hanging around the pin trading at the pin store. There are some great pins to check out!!!

Have a great time!!!!

I like just sitting by the lake and just relaxing, and people watching with a cool drink. From there you can see the kids/parents enjoy the little disco on the stage. We love watching all the dancing on and off beat, it's too funny but so much fun and the beats part beside the drink it's free.
