My husband and I are visiting Disney for 3 days during February school vacation. We are staying at the AKL for the first time and of course we are very much looking forward to it. Can anyone please tell me about breakfast options there in the resort and also.....are there outdoor trails we can explore? What else does the resort offer for recreation etc? Thanks :sohappy:

For breakfast I believe there is a small quick service place (not sure on this one, and I mean SMALL), and Boma serves breakfast. There are not "trials" per say, but there are many outlooks and points to see the animals.

Mara is the counter service restaurant at Jambo House. You also have the option of room service bringing you breakfast.

For other meals, Jiko, Boma, and Mara all serve at Jambo house. Over at Kidani Village, you have Sanaa. Room service is also available.

There is a nice jogging trail around the pool area. Disney's website says it's .16 miles long. It also says you can get a map from the concierge.

When DH & I visited the resort, we walked around some short trails to see the different animals outside. They weren't long trails, but more like little nooks. We thought it was a lot of fun to explore.

Ask the front desk about animal programs going on during the week you're there. They periodically have those too. Have a great trip!

.16 miles long, wow. Lap after lap after lap after lap after lap ...... :)

You can also walk from Jambo house to Kidani Village (or vice versa)
