Worth calling back for?

So I just retrieved all my reservations online to make sure all is good... and found a red "Cancelled" next to my 9:20 am reservation at the crystal palace.

I panic.

So I call to find out why it was cancelled and the CM said "Did you call and cancel it? We show that someone here cancelled it, it wasn't online"

I had not. The only modification I made was to add 2 people that we didnt know would be coming.

Her response was that isnt anything available.

And then offered to make another reservation outside of the magic kingdom.

I dont know if I should be angry and try and talk to a supervisor... or to just let it go, grab a waffle at the resort and be done with it.

(By the way. My trip is tomorrow.)

This exact thing happened to my sister in May - but at CRT. She insisted they get her in since she did not cancel her reservation - only tried to modify it. They
accommodated her. They can always squeeze people in if something happens and it's their fault.

Good luck!

Oh, if it were CRT I would be on the phone kickin' and screaming.

... I just can't decide if I want to try calling back or not. I don't want to kick the bee's nest as it were.

I would say then - that it all depends on how important to you it is. Will you be bummed when you got home from your trip, wishing you were able to go? Or is it no big deal? If it's no big deal to you whether you eat there or not, I'd say don't bother pushing the issue. However, if you think you'll wish you had eaten there once you get home, I would definitely call back and insist. It's not your fault it happened. Why should you suffer? Any kids involved with this? What will their feelings be if they can't go? Consider those feelings as well as your own.

Sorry I can't be more help, but it really depends on how important it is to you.

I just cant decide. On one hand, I wanted to get into the park a little early before the rush of people at rope drop, and it'd be a nice way to start off the 5 days of the parks. On the other hand, its just breakfast and we can get that anywhere.

Im torn!

Go for a Mickey Waffle at the resort and use the money you save on a unique souvenir like a LE pin or shirt... something that will last longer than just breakfast/lunch/dinner.

I called back to change another reservation and the CM on the phone was able to change things up for me... AND then she looked for breakfast for me... and instead of Crystal Palace... I got into Chef Mickey's!

I'm okay with that :)

I guess I'm just fortunate that my Mother In Law decided she wanted to come with to epcot instead of hollywood studios... so we had to change an entire day of our reservations.

Worked out -perfectly- for us. :p

Isn't "fortunate" and "Mother-in-Law come with" an oxymoron?

Glad it worked out. I'm guessing it had to do with their 90 to 180 switchover 2 days ago. Or it was just a 1-click error on the part of a CM.
