4 adults 1 child in 1 value resort room?

I know this is a really sinister question, but could we get away with it if we bought my 4 year old son's tickets separately and just didn't tell them he is with us? He has a great little aero-bed mattress that he would be happy on. He loves the giant Buzz and Woody and was really looking forward to seeing them again. We don't really care that much about comfortable accomodations and amenities. We just want to be able to stay at Disney and get to the parks quickly and efficiently and save the money for extras like dining and souvenirs. I know we have stayed in cheap motels that were just as small with 4 adults and a couple of kids before, just not at Disney.
So bottom line is, Would they enforce their rule?
It seems our only other option would be to stay at Port Orleans Riverside in a room with a trundle for a bit over $200 more. I realize that because of the buy 4 get 3 deal the difference in price is a good bit less than it normally is and honestly that's the only thing that even makes it an option we could consider, but we still would probably rather save the difference and spend it on other stuff. I'm sorry if I'm way out of line asking this, but my wife and I are curious to see if it could be done.

Yeesh. This is a hot topic around here...

Can you do it? Maybe. But, just be aware, that mousekeeping could report you and you would be forced to leave the resort or book another hotel room at rack rate. Because, well, it *is* against fire codes.

Now, should you do it? I wouldn't. If you got caught--- and, if found out, this is a rule they definitely enforce--- it would cost you much more in the long run.

(I'm leaving aside moral issues in this post, by the way, and just answering the OP's question!)

If you are planning on using the ME, DP and using EMH at the parks there is no way it would work. You have to report him to get your ME voucher and his KTTW card which you have to show it to get on rides during EMH and to use the DP.

So if you are planning on driving and not taking advantage of EMH or the DP for him, you could probably get away with it IMO.

4 Adults in a value room would be akin to torture IMO though.

Nevermind enforcing the rules, those rooms are just too close for comfort with that many people in it. Just with 2 adults and 2 kids, its piled up and the beds are small. But even with that, I don't even know if there is enough room to put an air mattress on the floor, even a small one.

There is really no way you would get caught since its not like they do a cell check everynight like a prison. But to me, the too tight accomidations would put a damper on things. But good luck with it!

I hadn't thought about the dining and extra hours. And like others have mentioned, if you do get caught, you will most likely end up paying more than what you hoped. Then you'll have to spend half a day or so moving rooms, etc....

But Balletgirl and Bugsbunny brought up another very good point.... We stayed at a value resort... 2 adults 2 kids... and like you, we didnt care that much about accomodations.. however, it was kinda tight. We were in our rooms pretty much just to sleep, and still I felt like I didn't have enough room to stretch out and be comfy... at least to go to sleep. I'm not even sure there's enough room for a air bed... how big is the bed? Also, the beds that are already in the room are not very big! So to have 4 adults and 1 kid might be tough to pull off. Maybe the family suite at one of the value resorts.... that might be an option.

If I were you, I'd go the POR-Riverside route with the trundle bed. We've stayed there, and it is a big step above the values in terms of theming, amenities, and room size. The kid will love the trundle bed, and unlike the air mattress, you won't need to figure out how to hide it from mousekeeping before hitting the parks.

Leaving the kid aside for a minute, four adults in one value room would be enough to send me into the nut house. That should be defined as cruel and unusual punishment.

We have been going up for 12 years and we always stay in the All Stars or POP and we always use a air matress never has anything ever been said plus you only sleep

As others have said, you will have diffuculties with Magical express and Extra Magic Hours doing this. The other thing to consider, too, is that you will be paying an additional $20 per night for having 4 adults rather than 2. For the difference in price, I'd think about getting 2 adjoining rooms. You'd all be a lot more comfortable, and you'd have an extra bathroom.

you could do it but i dont suggest it...

our last trip we went with 2 adults, two teenagers and a very tiny 7 year old. and it was very tight. My suggestion would be to get connecting rooms. we've done that before and it works out great.

Thanks for the gracious input. We have decided to go with the Port Orleans Riverside with the trundle. With the 4 for 3 deal, it's cheaper than either two Value rooms or the family suite at the music, plus I don't want to spend the whole week looking over my shoulder, worried they're gonna kick us out. We are a bit excited about trying a resort we haven't been to before. Any rooms that you recommend if our priorities are to get on buses quickly and be reasonably close to food?

Take a look at the resort map. We've been in buildings 14 and 27, both of which border the river. Building 14 is right next door to the main building (lobby, food court, gift shop) and is highly recommended.

I think that was an excellent choice. We usually stay at the values and we are 2 adults and 2 kids and honestly the room is TIGHT!! We have learned that to be happy we need more room, so we usually book 2 rooms (connecting) and it works out wonderfully for all of us and having 2 bathrooms is a blessing.

We just got back with 2 adults and our ds 2 staying at POR and it was crowded! I couldn't imagine that many people in a room. We also noticed that during EMH, IF anyone checked our KTTW cards, they always only looked at one of ours and said if we were all together they didn't need to see everyones, especially a childs. I think it could be done if you aren't using ME or DP, but wouldn't since that many people in one small room isn't an option for me.

We stayed in building 28 and the only thing it was remotely close to was the quiet pool. We were in Alligator Bayou and honestly IF we ever chose to stay at this resort, we'd request to stay in Magnolia Bend. We didn't care for the winding sidewalks and wild looking landscape. But, did like the looks of the AB rooms on the inside....however were very small. Having 5 people in your room though, you'd need AB and would request buildings 14, 15 or 18. This is what we requested too, but ended up in 28.

In the future, we've decided we'll probably stay off site in a timeshare swap or rent a house. We just like the more room and always rent a car. Not too fond of it taking us forever to get to a park or having to wait for buses. (Also I rented a scooter for this trip and the 3 times we took a bus, once they let everyone else on first, making me trying to put it on the bus without anyone moving and when asked the bus driver for help, she just answered "I can't help you!" and wasn't too friendly!)
