Room switch logistics question

We are booked for WL for 5 days in Feb. We will have to switch rooms on the 3rd day. I know that we just need to pack our stuff and they will move it to our new room for us while we are out. What about any perishable food items, ie; milk, orange juice, which need to be refrigerated? Is there a way to do that or do we need to just dump anything like that?

Why the room switch?

Are you switching rooms in the same resort? If that is the case you will more than likely stay in the same room unless you are changing room type, category, etc.

As far as I know it's up to you to sort these out - I'm sure Disney wouldn't be allowed to store your food items for all kinds of health and safety reasons.

If you're worried, why not just take a cool bag and hope for the best? If you check-out as late as possible and check back in as soon as possible there might only be a couple of hours gap. Maybe you could even arrange a late check-out / early check-in?

We are doing the same thing when we go in Nov. We are going from a 1bdrm villa to a 2 bdrm villa. I called the resort and I was told that we will have to box our perishable items up. If our next room is not ready they do have refrigeration to store items. We will probably still take a cooler with us just in case.
