Indiana Jones "Jeep Ride" coming to DHS??

Remember that huge Indiana Jones mine car ride planned for AL back in the day, that stretched through Jungle Cruise? I never understood why they couldn't retheme that outside Indy and give the IJA clone to "Lucas Land" in MGM, where it belongs.

There's an expansion pad behind Pirates that would be a perfect fit.

Yeah, but I would guess the absolute soonest we would see it would be maybe 10-15 years from now (around the time of the 50th), but with the FL refub, I don't see it coming any sooner than that. Saddly, I really don't ever see it happening...

Wrong. My sister's friend's uncle's neighbor is a monorail. He says it's happening. And his friend is a utilidoor latch. Trust me, they hear things.

It wouldn't be in the World Showcase. The Matterhorn refurb is about to happen and Figment just got that massive refurb/expansion.

Considering the Monsters Inc Coaster and Baby Herman's Stroller Coaster are right next to eachother I'm thinking this would go where the Muppet Studios is.

At first, I thought this would fit in DAK if highly themed to an adventurer's life... but Noah's Ark throws everything else and plus they just got the Excavator and the Dragon's Lair is practically brand new.

Magic Kingdom's Adventureland just got the humungous refurb for Pirates, so I doubt they'd go back into Adventureland. With the outdoor expansion and onboard audio they put into PotC, I doubt they'd dump even more money into the land. Perhaps they'd pay more attention to Liberty Square to make up for those 2 crappy refurbs they got.

I'm thinkin Indy is going to be shelved for now until Disney finishes the massive Space Mountain refurb.

yeah, I don't see this ever happening. This rumor has been around for so long... years upon years. I love that it gets brought up every few months or so - almost like it's on a schedule.

It would be a great addition to DHS...but I will be very surprised if it ever does happen.

is indy really an identical track layout to CTX? I have a hard time believing that since several parts of the attraction are nothing alike. For example in California the ride opens with the jeep going into an open room with 3 corridors and where is the equivalent to the big lava room with the bridge crossing the attraction in the middle in CTX? Indy also seems more intense, thrilling, and longer to me.

I have faith that it will happen, but not any time soon I'm afraid.

Exactly! I was surprised when I found out they had the same layout, the only correlation I could make between the two was the little drop at the end of the ride.

Although, those three corridors is just an illusion. Its the same corridor (the Dinosaur equivilant of the time travel tunnel) but the lighting changes to give the illusion that you're in a different room than you were on the last time your rode.
