Easiest way to pick up AP?

We booked an annual pass discount room at AKL for our trip in October. I ordered the AP online, so I don't have the actual pass itself or one of the vouchers they send to you. All I have is a printout confirming the order. When I made the reseveration, the CM told me I'd have to pick up the pass before checking in, because I need to prove I have an AP.

So, can anyone tell me where the easiest place is to stop and get the pass? I know we can swing by whatever theme park is closest and do it at the ticket windows there, but I'd rather not pay a parking fee just so we can spend five minutes at a ticket counter. Can I do it at Downtown Disney or even in the hotel lobby?

The resorts can't issue AP's. Only the 4 theme parks and Downtown Disney. Your best bet would be to stop at DTD before heading to AKL.

Just tell the CM at the booth that you are going in to pick up your AP. They will not charge you a parking fee.

I can confirm. I have done this several times.

If you pass DTD I would stop there. If not go into AK as you will pass it on the way to AKL.

We bought our Annual Passes on the way into the park. Did not order ahead of time.
We went to the service counter at the MK and said, "Two annual passes, please."
The CM asked what state we lived in and then in less than a minute handed us the AP's and said, "That will be $800, please."
We paid and then went on into the park.
The whole thing took less than five minutes.

Also, I have never seen a resort deny the AP discount if you didn't have the AP in hand. Many times they will just ask you to come back later in the day to show the passes. I wouldn't worry about stopping first. We've stayed with AP rates close to 20 times and have never had a problem.

They'll also usually accept an AP voucher as proof. I don't see why they wouldn't accept the confirmation email showing your AP purchase, too.

Thanks everyone for the info! We'll probably just swing by DTD and pick up the pass. I've used the AP rate before and never had to show my pass to validate it. But since we're arriving kind of late and will just want to get settled in, I figured it's best to just have the pass with me at check-in.

Can you get your APs and pick up your pre-paid MNSSHP tickets at DTD or would it be best just to go the Ticket and Transportation Center or do I have to go to MK?

You can get your AP's at DTD but for will call MNSSHP tickets you need to pick them up at the will call window at MK.
