Team Disney Building

Hi all,

I'm not currently a castmember, but used to be, and so still have a Vista Federal Credit Union account. I was looking for Vista ATMs in the WDW area that I might be able to use my Vista ATM card at, and it looks like a lot of the locations of ATMs are in restricted areas, only open to current WDW castmembers. However, on the Vista Web site, it does list an ATM at the Team Disney building (across from DTD), and it doesn't mention any type of restricted access.

What I'm curious to know, and hoping some current castmembers may know the answer...is the general public able to gain access to the Team Disney building? I was hoping that I could just walk there from DTD while I'm there.

Thanks for your help!

To the OP: I'm sure if you asked the receptionist they can help you.

To Evan: No. You can not go in.

And yes, I've actually been there a lot.
:p

(Seriously, it's cool but there's not much to see. It is a office afterall, albeit in a cool building.)

The Team Disney location has drive-thru tellers and ATM. It's located around the back side of the Team Disney building, with no barrier to vehicles in getting there.

As the website lists separate hours for Branch hours and Drive Thru hours, I presume there is a separate area inside Team Disney with counters and bank tellers.

My Dad worked for Digital Equipment Corp for many years when I was growing up, and kept his account with their credit union when he retired. Their location in our town was off the lobby of one of the DEC office buildings. When he or my Mom had to visit, they just showed their account cards in the lobby and were granted access to the credit union office.

There is also a location on International Drive just past the Little Lake Bryan area. I used to live just down the street and used it often. If you are coming off I-4 onto 535 just go to Vineland where the big Little Lake Bryan sign is and you will go past the big Mary Queen of the Universe church and the Outlet mall. At the next light take a right and it should be about a mile on the left. Hope this helps!

Visited the Team Disney building often and yes you have to show ID but there is a drive thru in the parking lot for the credit union.

As for those of you interested in the building....Pretty boring. Mainly offices and cubicles, however they do have a pretty big cafeteria!

The building you would mostly find interesting is the offices behind the studios. Kinda behind the backlot tour. That building was amazing. I had to go to a meeting there. They have guards there who walk you to the elevators and make sure that you go to the correct floor. It had a lot of old memorabilia. It was very exciting!:D

Yeah, that's the former Animation building. I have a friend who used to work in payroll who was moved there from her old office in the Utilidors when they consolidated all their individual park offices into a single location. I presume the Dumbo ride vehicle is still hanging in the lobby? (The one you'd see from the Animation tour during the brief moment that the frosted glass un-frosted)

As several other posters have stated, the ATM machine and drive-thru are outside of the area where you have to have a WDW ID on you. However, as I experienced when I was there in August, if you need to visit the branch inside, you can go in and let the security CM know that you are there to go to the credit union. You will be asked for ID and, after your details are recorded, you will be issued with a guest pass. Once you are finished there, just be sure to return the pass to the security desk on your way out.

I was positive that I couldn't go in and sent my brother (who is still a WDW CM) in to take care of something for me inside. After the teller told him that she could only deal with me, I went to the drive-thru teller to see if I could get assistance. Since this was something that had to be done inside, she told me about the setup that is in place for members who are no longer WDW CMs and I was indeed able to access the branch in this way.
