Water park and towels?

What do you all do for towels at the water park? We are driving so I can pack ours but I'd rather not if there is another solution. I think I read somewhere that you can rent them. How much is it and is it worth it? Thanks!

I think they're around two dollars to rent? they're the smaller ones like what you find by your resort pool. i bring my own from home. it also saves a little time off of waiting in line to rent one. plus, i like having a towel for the drive back to the resort.

We drive and usually bring our own beach towels from home.
However this June I decided not to pack them (one less bag as there are 5 of us) since they always have towels at the pools/water park.
This June our pool (Fort Wilderness Campground) NEVER had towels!!!
We used our towels from our room and requested extra towels. It was a royal pain & I wish I had just brought my towels from home :(

we have been to Typhoon Lagoon twice and you can definately rent towels there (they are $1 or $2 each I don't remember exactly) but, they are not beach towel size. I always bring mine from home even just for pool use.

Good to know. My mom was saying that we didn't need to bring towels because they should have them. Then I pointed out that it's Disney, not Kalahari/Great Wolf Lodge, where they have towels for you.

We'll be bringing our nice big Disney beach towels.

You cant rent them in the park or just take the towels from you room.
We for the last couple of years weve taken our room towels. It saves alot of space for us considering we are a family of 5.

We had the "pleasure" of renting towels once. It was hysterical because the towels felt like a wash cloth, they were so small!!! :ROFLOL: Plus it was really humid so the towels never actually dried between uses, by the end of the day they were sopping wet and completely useless!!!

We also drive and bring our towels from home. We do use them for at the hotel pool ( my wife and daughter like to wrap up in them ), and ours are large enough that when you lay them on the lounger they cover it so that you don't stick if your taking nap. My daughter will sometimes use one or two as a blanket on the drive down (I like to keep the vehicle cool).

I had this same dilema when we went last May. However, we were flying so I opted not be bring our own towels for Blizzard Beach. We took two towels for each of us from the pool towels at Wilderness Lodge. Since they were the same towels that they rented, we put them in the towel return at Blizzard Beach when we were leaving.

Instead of bringing ours from home or renting, we just buy beach towels from the water parks. We usually buy a few anyway as souvenirs and this is what we use home for our bath towels. We each pick out one or two during our vacation.

We fly and hate to take up the room so we usually rent. Last trip we bought a couple as souvenirs and will again in November. My daughter wants the Blizzard Beach towel this time.

We just did this in June and yes, you can rent. We walked right in and got towels and a locker. It was so great not to have to fuss or deal with anything. I think the towels are $2 a piece and $7 for the locker but then you get $5 back when you return the key. A fun tip...grab a water proof disposable camera! So much fun and you don't have to worry. Also, get one of those waterproof cases to keep the locker key on and your cash/cards/room key. Then you are hands free and can just enjoy the rides! Have fun!!! :sohappy:

How much are the towels at Disney? This is a good idea.

I thought of the waterproof camera, but I didn't think of a waterproof case. We might need it, I'm not sure if my dad is going to do anything in the waterparks or not (not a big fan of rides... but it's really the waiting in line part.)
