According to the Blue Sky Disney blog , Wayne Allwine has died this past weekend. Our thoughts and prayers to his wife Russi Taylor (voice of Minnie).

I just did a quick search and Wikipedia says "confirmed reports that Wayne Allwine passed away over the weekend May 16-18" but gives no other info.

Very sad, if true.

I just watched a wonderful interview on YouTube (in 3 parts) done by Leonard Maltin with Wayne and his wife Russi Taylor who is the voice of Minnie Mouse that's really worth 20 minutes to watch if you're a fan.

He will truly, truly be missed. I'm in shock over this and very upset. I'll be listening to a few WDW shows and parades tonight, and over the next few days, to hear Mickey. God Bless Russi Taylor and their children. He will be missed.

It will be interesting to see how Disney reacts to this. Especially with Russi still providing the voice of Minnie (if she even wants to anymore) and the effect on future entertainment offerings in the theme parks.
