Yes there is. It is between England and France. Take the bus from AK to the Boardwalk or the Yacht and Beach Club walk through the resorts and just head toward Epcot.
We're doing something a little different this December -- two days at Epcot, with the first day devoted to Future World, and the second to World Showcase.
Since we've never been to Disney's Boardwalk, we may go there on our second day and then use the International Gateway to go to World Showcase.
As off-site guests, can we park at the Boardwalk and go to Epcot, or is that frowned upon? It's not like we're "cheating" -- we actually will be touring the Boardwalk and likely spending money there. Any insight?
If you valet park you will be good for the day. Otherwise you will get a 3 hour pass. We're doing something a little different this December -- two days at Epcot, with the first day devoted to Future World, and the second to World Showcase.

It kind of depends on who is working at the security booth. Some will wave you through some will take your info and give you a pass. Just luck of the draw I guess. I have always had TiW so valet parking is free and I will valet park to avoid worrying weather my car will be there when I get back to it.The last two times we've done this, we said we were having breakfast at Spoodles, and they just ask to see ID and waved us through.
During peak season it is not uncommon to see cars with expired parking passes on the back of tow trucks at the Contemporary.when i was there in december i parked at the boardwalk a few times and wasnt given a pass or anything. although i did park at AKL once and some people were given tickets for parking longer than the pass indicated.

Quite true. Parking at the Contemporary is pretty tight hence a much more strict attitude toward non-guest parking. The Boardwalk and Y&BC on the other hand are much more lax due to a larger lot and on site entertainment. Still I don't risk it. I hate the looking over my shoulder feeling that comes with bending the rules.Yeah, they are very strict at the contemporary. However, I have never been given a pass at the Boardwalk because theoretically someone could spend 3+ hours there just enjoying it. I also haven't parked there for the day and gone to Epcot, so I can't really speak for doing that.
