When you are booked and have a Disney Resort reserved how do you get to drop your kids off at day care, how much is it yada yada....

I ask because someone on our trip has a 2 year old might be 3?

How does this work?:shrug:

The child care centers at the Disney resorts are for ages 4-12. So your friend's child isn't old enough. They can do in-room babysitting, though. We used Fairy Godmothers a couple of years ago and were pleased with the sitter we had. I believe Disney recommends another sitter service called Kids Night Out.

The Disney sponsored child clubs such as the Neverland Club at the Poly do not open until 4 PM and have a minimum age of 4 ...hence they will not be an option for you. You only other option would be an in room sitter. For that Disney recommends Kid’s Nite Out. (800-696-8105 or 407-828-0920)

Here are the details for kids night out.

* 1 child - $16.00 per hour
* 2 children - $18.50 per hour
* 3 children - $21.00 per hour
* 4 children - 23.50 per hour
* For groups or more than 4 children, all children must be 2 years of age or older. Please call Kid’s Nite for these rates
* After 9:00 p.m., there will be an additional $2.00 an hour charge.
* For children 6 weeks - 12 years old
* One-time transportation fee of $10 will be added to total bill for the care provider.
* All rates are hourly based, with a 4-hour minimum, and a one-time transportation fee. Cancellations require 24 hours notice to avoid the 4-hour charge. Advance reservations are required. Prices are subject to change without notice.
* For childcare on Holidays and Special Events, rates are subject to change.

It's actually $11 per KID per hour. :dazzle: So to put our 2 kiddos in would be $22/hour. :eek:
Quite true. I keep forgetting that detail because I only have one kid that I can send to the Neverland Club. I have another one that would enjoy the heck out of it but she is 3 years too old.:lol:

I've thought about doing Kids Night Out, but not sure how I'd feel about leaving my 18 month old with a stranger in our hotel room while I was out for evening.

What's go guarantee me that they aren't going to haul my child away and not be there when I get back? Just the thought scares me!

Might be better than dragging them all over the place though! hahaha

Not trying to be mean but why even bring the little one if you don't want to drag them around. I couldn't see going to Disney with my child and not want to spend every waking moment with them.:shrug: I just don't think that I would be able to leave my child with a stranger in a hotel room. That's just me though.:)

Well it is for 2 kids. It would be no different that 2 movie tickets, 2 park tickets, etc.
It includes dinner, though.

These sitters are very well checked out, and people do it all the time, and I have NEVER heard of an incident involving these services. We did it when the girls were 6/2 and they LOVED it. It's pricey, but I highly recommend it. It was a different vendor then, but more or less the same.

If you have kids that age, and want to go to Victoria & Alberts, for example, you have to find a solution like this, because the minimum age is something like 11. We used Mouseketeers for V&As, and another time Neverland for a romantic dinner (with wishes) at the Cali grill. Neverland is WAY better than Mouseketeers. We used the private service when the little one was too young for the clubs to go to late-night dinner at Bongos (when they had the floor show) and happy new year at PI (when they did that every night). Too late for the kids back then with everything else we did earlier.

1.) They wont remember it
2.) Prob be screaming and crying by 4PM
3.) Gotta carry them all over the place when its 90+ degrees

Thats just to name a few reasons...

But if your child is able to walk around, and will actually remember the trip then there are a million reasons to spend every minute with them.

My question is what do they DO with your kids? If they're in the hotel room, that is. Do they bring games or something? Or just stick them in front of the TV the whole time?

Getting paid that much, just to have them watch movies with the kids seems a bit much. But it's not like I bring a boatload of toys with us either...

Id imagine they bring stuff, maybe with your permission take them to the pool?
